Mugs for coffee or any warm drink don’t have saucers. What you called a “stamp” was to rock over freshly written penmanship with a pen dipped in ink it was to remove excess ink to prevent smudges. What a fun time out. So many beautiful things to look at.

The item which you thought was a fridge is called a meat safe, an early form of a fridge. It would be kept either underground in a cellar where it was cool or in a pantry which were often lined with marble in Chateaus which keeps cool so the meat would could be kept cool in the safe but also in the pantry. Cheese, milk, butter and cream would all be made and collected fresh daily the Pantry would keep them cool for a day maybe two in winter but probably only one day in summer. Only Meat traditionally would be kept in the safe.
