bought their album and love it. But the harmonies on this song kill me. Maybe hitting the top notes without fear or inhibition in the forest is what makes it so amazing... I don't know. But I love it and I wish they'd do a studio version. For that matter I wish Fleet Foxes would put out another album. Anyway, very nice ladies, I've been watching this cover for a few years now and it never gets old.

I found this song when I was a teenager. Now I’m 32, I have children, and every once and awhile I find myself back here listening to this track. I showed it to someone I loved who passed away, I’ve lost best friends, I’ve lost family, and this song remains here. A monument. It hold such an immense weight over me, and I’ll be honest, I’d never heard the original before finding this, and can’t find the same poignance in that track in comparison to this recording. This is a song I hope is played at my own funeral. It’s seen me through so much loss, so much growth, shit, so much life in general.

Came here for a similar reason. Gen Z on TikTok is obsessed with this era of music and style and fashion at the moment….. and it feels so weird to be seeing it all over the internet again. The books I read at that age, the music…. So much is “cool” again and it’s honestly been hard to see and is making me step off the internet. Like damn….. where did the time go? A friend I used to listen to this with hasn’t talked to me in ten years despite me reaching out and asking what went wrong. A time before so many people I love died, and when I had so much hope for the future and all the adventures I’d have. It’s bittersweet to look back.

This is the first song I saw of First Aid Kit years ago, and I'm glad I found them again. They're just as good at singing and writing their original songs as they are at doing covers.

Been listening to First Aid Kit for a few years now. Found this recording early in my discovery. It still defines the way I see these girls. So beautiful. You girls have been such an inspiration to me. I really appreciate your music, it has helped me define myself. Love to you and everyone else who enjoys the messages that you continue to convey.

I remember discovering that song and I am so glad they now have albums, tour and play live at festivals, 14 years later now 28 and 30 years of age. They deserve everything. Their music is literally a first aid kit. ❤

I remember when I first saw First Aid Kit 10 years ago, and this song made me drop my jaw to the floor. I also actually got to meet them as well after the show, and they we're just as wonderful their music.

Before go pros, Sony cams and Vlogging became saturated with have to have microphones, these girls produced a great sound cover video. Sometimes its just about the talent which is obviously in abundance here.

i remember watching this way back in 2008 thinking "these girls are going places.." glad to see I wasn't wrong. Actually I have heard these guys since on JJJ as "First aid kit" and while I kind thought they sounded similar to these girls I never looked it up. But there you go.

It’s 2021 and this just popped up in my timeline... I suddenly realized I had seen this thumbnail many years ago when I first discovered Fleet Foxes... I had no idea until now that it would be from another band I’d also love years later ❤️

Discovered them shortly after this video was uploaded. I remember all they had released was Drunken Trees and I was addicted after I heard Pervigilo. Seeing them every year they come to California and watching them grow has been a treat and some of the best memories of my life. Glad they are a talent that has gotten the recognition they deserve. Still, no matter how big they get, I still think of them as this incredible little band that made a video of themselves singing in the forest and only I and a few others knew about them and how special they are.

And now look where they are! Heard them live in Nashville's Ryman Auditorium this week (2-1-18) and was blown away by their mastery and fervent performance. It was a completely gratifying show!
