Simple lines that woven together create this obscure, mystical language of love that only those who really listen can understand.

My personal favorite, not just from Stevie/FMac, but from any artist ever, period. This is a somewhat underrated masterpiece, in the sense that the band itself keeps dropping it out of their concert setlists, something I'll never understand. To me, it's just as essential as any of the songs from "Rumours" or any of their other hits. Great picture of the "Seven wonders" video, by the way.

@LaVidaLocaHomie

@@indyatmn420 The melody has haunted me since 1979. I have probably listened to Sara more than anyone else on Earth since then. I saw Stevie sing this live in 1980 at the Forum in Inglewood. Ever since then wherever I go or whatever country I'm in I start to choke up bad (like I am right now as I type this) when I hear the opening notes and chords. There is something that speaks to me in a voice that has no voice. Way beyond words. I know part of of it is the heartbeat with the bass and the drums. It's so other worldly. I can put this on repeat all day long and hear new things in the song each time. The lyrics and the haunting voice of Stevie just kill me. Mesmerizing? Haunting? Heartbreaking? Longing? Searching? All consuming burning desire? There is a Portuguese word that comes somewhat close to describing it. It's called saudade. There really is no English translation for saudade. Roughly it is a melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves with a repressed knowledge that the object of longing might/will never return. "When you build your house then call me home"

Obsession...a joy in trying to figure out why I love this song, a frustration from how elusive that answer is. Of course, the superficial elements, such as voice, tempo, beats, guitar, drums, are there and perfect and enjoyable. Combined into a “song”, there is a sense of whole, a sense of bliss, a sense of nirvana. I know why I love this song, I don’t know if I have the wisdom to translate and transform those feelings into a new complimentary story.

I went to Arcadia highschool in PV, I was at Papago Mt park and this border collie was running straight at me I grabbed the leash and was hold on and petting her? And her came Stevie Nick's !! I was 16 and a huge fan of her work. Understandably I was completely taken back that I was standing there talking to the Bella Donna herself! We talked for awhile and when she walked on before she left ? She said thanks for being discreet and not making a scene. She was out for a walk and needed some space. Never forget that encounter long as I live!

Damn! I bought the 3-Disc Japanese SHM-CD version, which is totally marvelous, but I wish it included this version on the Alternate Tusk disc. This is what the final (9-minute plus) version should have sounded like in 1979, because Stevie's voice is in front, where it should have always been. Her vocal always seemed pushed in to the recesses of space on all of the other versions, except the "9-minute Cleaning Lady Version". I hope they play this version on the radio from now on.

TO: "sanders8323" (and "Sam Buckingham", as well): OK, help me to understand, before I lay down oodles of more $$$ to get this EXACT version of "SARA" that is used here on this upload. First of all, it is MOST VERY OBVIOUS that Nicks' lead vocal near the end is quickly "mixed-out-of" on the 1979, 2004 & some of the 2015 releases and Buckingham & McVie's ad-libs are "fully-up-in-the-mix", but "HERE", we finally "HEAR" Nick's ending vocal track in full bloom, before the fade out. So what YOU are saying, is that THIS VERSION is only available on the "DVD Surround Sound 5:1 Mix", to be more specific, Disc #6, Cut #5 or Cut #25? There seems to be SO MUCH mis-information on just where to obtain this "official" version. The uploader here (Sam) uses the paraphrase, "The Wind Became Crazy", yet there is no track using that title? If "sanders8323" or "Sam Buckingham" (the uploader) can be VERY specific on which release this came off of, that would answer so many of our questions. Sam used the term "Box Set", however, there seems to be 2 or even 3 "box sets"; some with 2 discs, some with 3 discs, some with 5 discs and the "BIG ONE" with 6 discs & 2 record albums, according to the "all-knowing" Amazon at: www.amazon.com/Tusk-Deluxe-5CD-1DVD-2LP/dp/B0178JP1FY/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?dchild=1&keywords=Fleetwood+Mac+Tusk+Deluxe+DC&qid=1590212920&sr=8-1-fkmr0 So, just some shedding of light, to set the record straight on this ongoing "SARA" mystery, would be absolutely & totally, uplifting! Much, much thanks!!! BCRadio
