I think they focused on Christine McVie Penned songs along with Stevie Nicks songs since at this point Buckingham was gone and they had Vito filling in for Buckingham. Fortunately, since nearly 3/4 of the hits were written by McVie and Nicks they did not suffer too much from his absence - only when they tried to produce new music did they have problems. The three of them together (Nicks/McVie/Buckingham) was their best lineup.

Love forever to Christine, and condolences to all who were close to this magnificent singer and songwriter. I loved Fleetwood Mac's albums Bare Trees and Future Games, and was disappointed that Bob Welch did not stick around. But brighter lights were soon to arrive, and through it all Christine was a steadying force of nature, a breathy vocalist against the rolling bass of John McVie, his playing always over the top yet under the radar. I get chills even after hearing their hits and not-hits a thousand times. Please, let there be just one more band in my lifetime with the talent and strength of Christine and John McVie.
