@@Ljaysauz.I had the VHS live in concert from 1982 the mirage tour I think it was in Los Angeles, and Stevie was even better, it looks like this one here is more like a short version, the long version where she goes off with her crazy dancing is totally awesome.

mark of a great band is the live performances eclipse the studio recordings. All the greats are like that. Pink Floyd, Beatles, Zeppelin, ACDC, the eagles, Queen etc. Fleetwood Mac definitely in this illustrious group and the Dance is a brilliant live set.

My all-time favourite version of this song. This used to be the song I'd save for the final stretch if I ever went jogging outside or indoors on a treadmill. The guitar solo at the end gives you that edge to go that little bit faster and further!

Lindsey's solo at the end of this song is truly euphoric and liberating...it was almost as if that was his way of letting go of all of his stress and frustrations..just beatiful...this song was a massive hit in the 70's ...I remember my mom playing it over and over again..it hasn't lost any of its luster

Amazed how long it took the audience to recognize the song! Lindsey looking at Stevie during the second verse is priceless - he knows how much she hated the shacking up lyric! His wonderful guitar playing is pure catharsis - it obviously still hurt!

This is the sh*t! Easily one of the top ten rock songs of all time. I can remember exactly where I was when I heard it for the first time. It was such a relationship song that still resonates today...over 30 frickin' years later!

Lindsey Buckingham is one of the greatest rock guitar players --- AND --- He is also an astonishing singer.... It only takes a word of the lyrics to recognize his him --- This FMac Dance concert is remarkable because all members are happy to be there. Everyone is straight --- No drugs, no ego --- but justifiable pride to be one of the greatest groups ever. I hope the current generation of kids hears such incredible treasures .

My dad used to pick the DVD of this concert out and play it sometimes on Friday/Saturday nights for movie night. As a child I was always amazed by the beautiful music these people created. I did not miss the joy they clearly display in this concert. Knowing now about all the drama throughout the years, it makes this concert all the more special. I grew up listening to this album and I continue to listen to it now In my adult life. It has given me strength in times of need. Gotten me through a lot. Much love

The five main FM stars really up the intensity when performing live. I listened to the studio/album version a short while ago & found it lacking enthusiasm by the performers compared to this live presentation.

This live version is so much superior to the album version with the backing musicians who have fleshed out the vocals and freed up Buckingham to carry the lead guitar solos, because he knows a capable acoustic guitar player is going to cover what he created in the studio. Having to play both lead and rhythm parts made him so unique in the live performances, a true underappreciated virtuoso.

I didn’t get Fleetwood Mac when I was a kid getting into all the ‘70s rock that still loomed large over all the radio stations I listened to. Then this aired on MTV when I was 18 and it was like the clouds parted and the light hit me. An absolutely legendary performance.

Rumors (ha!) are that they were veeeeery close again, but in the end it turned out that Kristen was pregnant and that Silver Springs is, in case this is true, pretty much on point.

+Stewart Lawrence Lindsey has said he wrote this to Stevie in retaliation for her song Silver Springs. Just some more of the back and forth between two people who hurt each other, but never killed the deep feelings they had for each other. Stevie said she hated that she had t sing about shacking up when that wasn't what she wanted.

+Serena Smith Actually, the other way around. Stevie wrote Silver Springs after she heard Go Your Own Way's rough demo during the recording of Rumours. She wanted her own response to this song and was very unhappy it was left off the album due to song length restraints.

I attended their reunion tour after this album was released. Best concert ever, hands down, partly because they seemed so thrilled to be playing together for a live crowd, as they are here. It was a truly joyful event for them and the audience.

And, watch this one with "Silver Springs" and you get a sense of the raw emotion and power of the relationship. Call and response. And, This song was the A-side to the B-side of Silver Spring when they were released on 45. Amazing.

Yeah, they deserve a record deal. When Stevie is on stage, the whole dynamic changes. Even when not singing, she HAS to be there for a song to work, because so many in the audience are thinking, "Where's Stevie? What's Stevie doing now..." Stage presence!

Took my oldest daughter "Rhiannon" to the "The Dance" and one of my most emotional moments was singing back to them "Rhiannon" with my daughter. The whole "set" of The Dance was awesome. Shivers and tears that whole night. I was a member of "Nicks Fix" and have two autographed T-shirts and posters from this time period.

This is my favorite performance of this song. And it's almost emotional, I get goosebumps every time. I remember being so PISSED when he wasn't listed in Rolling Stone's greatest guitarists of all the time! So much emotional history in the writing and performing of this song, as we FWM fans know, and I love the way the two of them look at each other throughout. Just as astounding performance - the whole concert was, but especially this song. Mick Fleetwood was superb here as well.

I feel like this is the definitive live cut of this song. Maybe even the best cut to include the original album version. Something about LBs deeper, grittier voice resonates more for some reason. The lyrics will always be among the best ever written, but the way it’s sung here will always be good in my book.

I loved & still love Fleetwood Mac!!! Simply put...IN MY HONEST OPINION...THE GREATEST FLEETWOOD MAC ALBUM EVER RECORDED & THE GREATEST ALBUM OF 1977!!! Mick Fleetwood & John McVie are so good together & when you add Christine, Stevie, & Lindsey...MAGIC!!!!!!!!! Fleetwood Mac was grooving in this song...you could tell by the expressions on Christine's, Stevie's, Mick's, John's & Lindsey's face... That song had them all in the moment!!!!

My first concert was Fleetwood Mac in 1977 at the HIC Arena now know as the Neal Blaisdell Center. They rocked then & even MORE SO in 1997. RIP Christine. We love you! You closed with Songbird then, same as in this 1997 Dance Tour. The vocal perfection & hook-writing of Christine, the talent & intensity of Lindsay & Mick are a joy to watch. The underrated playing of John & Lindsay. Gone is the Era-of-Talent like Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Police, Led Zepplin, Van Halen, etal. perhaps Adele or Bruno keeping it real now in the current Auto-Tune-crap-era
