Just turn it in your hand to straighten it. Had one for years, never had a problem. As it gets worn it loses its spring tension, take it apart and re-tension it. It's best to mark the lead about 2 feet from fully extended so you can lock it before the stitched anchor is reached, and always let them dry fully extended or they will weaken left coiled up and wet. It doubles as a self defence tool as well, especially the Professional 10 metre 50kg version, it's getting on for 900 grams.

LOLZ... Good protection tool! So is a Doberman and steel toe wellies. I have another of the same lead now and the stitched loop at the end is shorter, so doesn't come out far when it hits the end. ... So, it's never jammed once! 👍.

Thank you. And sorry for the delay. My inbox is not working, I just went through my recent videos and then thought a check on most popular might be needed. Flexi were meant to send me a new design to test! However, they sent the same🙄. But when I totally unravel it, the stitches loop at the end is actually smaller, so I don't think it will jam. It might be random variations in the model. I emailed back saying I was under the impression that I was to receive a new design as shown in their email to me.... but heard nothing back. I will try once more,,, then just start using the new one they sent. This on is getting a little frayed. There are other brands that do a retractable lead with a brake as well as lock. But only 5 metres. I really want a 10m with brake! Cheers 🐕

Hey Bruce!! Grace says Hey 👋 I use the 30-35’ Flexi. It twists too, however as it rewinds it straitens out. Maybe once in awhile I need to twist it once to get it perfect. The spring is super tight as well, and the hole is big, but seems to work properly for me. I got it from PetCo. Their website (Flexi) is www.flexi-northamerica.com As always if you wanted to try one and they’re not available in the UK, I’d be happy to intercede on Bruce’s behalf and get one Stateside and ship it to you. BTW...still in the 60/70’f here...Grace is wanting to hike today, I get no rest 😂

@SebastianPolakk Yes, I think it's the difference between the 8 and 10 meter. They are rated for 50 kilo dogs. Bruce was 50 kilos plus a bit in his latter years. And REALLY slamed the end of the lead sometimes. So should be good for your hound. Think about getting the Ankol bungee, I use the double bungee for better shock absorption. 👍👍👍

Interesting.. As I said, this is my second one. And the first one jammed too. Does your dog properly charge about like a nutter like Bruce? Flexi emailed me and said they wanted to send me a new lead to test. Awesome! They sent the same type 🤔 I emailed back questioning and said I was under the impression that I was getting a new design. And the one pictured in the email was different. .. I got a generic email back saying hes out of the office till 23 of last month... And still not had a reply yet. Maybe the office is shut due to the virus. But it's strange. So I await some news and the one they sent is stashed for now at least, incase they want it back. It might be a random variation of where the stitching is at the reel end. As in the one I have now, jams more than my old one, and the stitching comes out further than my old one. The new one they sent, the stitching does not come out the end. So I don't know if that is the new design. .. but why send a picture of a different lead all together? So who blummin knows! Cheers 👍👊🐕

I got mine today any tips for using it for the first time when walking my dog?
@UK-Blue
Жыл бұрын
Yeh, don't use in the woods! You'll get tangled! LOLZ. Main thing is please use with a harness ,,,, so when you dog hits the very end, or you have to hit the lock there's no harm done like if it were attatched to a collar. How big is your dog? ..... Bruce has a few times hit the end of the lead and really hurt me, and had me flying! .... So be aware of that, and try to train / get used to calling the dog back if running towards the end of the line. So the main concern with them is the potential for shock (not electric) at the end, or hitting the lock. Great leads though!

@@frankenz66 I do often just let it wind in and leave it like that while wet. I've never had a problem with it starting to go mouldy. But then it's used several times a day so not sitting festering. I do sometimes leave it out hanging out to dry. Often do pull it all through a tightly held towel. 👍
