Flies for Trout Fishing | Loch Style Wet Flies | Pearly Zulu
Another from our Flies for Trout Seriess. In this fly tying tutorial. Andrew Herkes shows you how to tie the Pearly Zulu Loch Style Wet Fly.
The Zulu is one of the oldest loch style wet fly patterns. This variant, the Pearly Zulu is a brilliant fly when fishing for wild brown trout, sea trout salmon and rainbow trout. Designed to be fished as a wet fly, usually on the top dropper. This subsurface pattern is one of our absolute favourites. Best used when fishing from a boat or shore on lochs and reservoirs. This fly in bigger sizes can also spring a few surprises when fishing in coastal areas.
