Not dismissing anyone's products or point, simply sharing. A US Army Combat Medic, while in agreement that piss poor planning leads to piss poor (performance) outcomes, my rehearsed answer to the Infantrymen I was medically responsible for, "Do NOT depend on me or equipment to save a life. YOU must develop a competency* to save a life with what you have available." A single mission resulted in 5 KIA and 13 wounded. Thirteen wounded--a mass casualty event for ANY Trauma Level I center in the USA. As a Combat Medic, none of us could predict or carry the equipment to manage 13 wounded. While it sounds corny, 13 wounded on that single mission survived because we Improvised, Adapted, and Overcame. The point, while all great products reviewed, spend your money to "develop a competency to save a life with what you have." *Competency is mostly simple common sense and NOT about being a trauma surgeon. Addendum: While clean dressings and close wound margins are nice, both unnecessary vs (ie) stopping hemorrhage and evacuating to higher care...while nice, a surgical blade is NOT a necessity to incise the skin for a cricothyrotomy. Because while a very bad scar later anything that cuts will give access to an airway. Even if sued later, a bad scar on a saved life is BETTER than NO scar on a dead person. If for anyone, for our soul that someone lived because of your skills rather die because of a lack of equipment. I may have dug myself deeper but that's okay, even if some are NOT okay with it.

I really like their stuff. I might get some more stuff for the home as well. Didn’t know much about them until I talked to Jaren, he’s a wealth of knowledge!

My wife and I are both 73. I am a gun owner we both live together. Our family is 15 minutes away. What kit do you recommend. Please advise we’re on a fixed budget

Look at what OSHA requires for first aid. After that grab a CAT Tourniquet and do some training. Training matters more then gear.

Is there a place online where I can look to see who does classes in my area to get any type of certification for any of the stuff in these kits?

They do offer training, how ever it doesn’t necessarily have to be from them. If you just want to find a course and clarify with them what things you want to be trained in they should be able to help.
