I am very happy with mine. Also being a guitarist, I already had an amp and some effects pedals as well as a digital mixer and audio recorder. So what I'm saying is to get the sound you hear required some extra investment. If you don't want to record, just purchase a small amp from Blackstar or the Boss Katana.

@PeterMossUkulele
8 ай бұрын
Hello - Thanks for your comment and question. DGBE as you most probably know in the guitar strings 1-4. In ukulele circles it would be classed as a Baritone tuning and in the world of the guitar, classed as Tenor Tuning. Either way it's DGBE. So any books/KZitem tutorials of that tuning should be right up your street. I would literally search on Google, "How to play songs in DGBE tuning" after that "How to play tunes in Tenor Guitar tuning" - Don't forget KZitem as it's also a great resource. Glad you liked my demo.

Hey Shaun. Thanks for your feedback on my demo video. There are 3 effects going on. Digital delay (echo), some reverb to make it a bigger sound and some crunch overdrive. The delay is set to what is known as dotted 8th's. Before I played "Run", I demonstrated the speed (tempo)before starting. In a nutshell whilst the guitars time signature is in 4/4 the delay is in 6/8 but both start on beat one and three of the 4/4.. It's a weird but an effective concept used by other bands such as the Police and U2. The only thing missing from the original is a touch of chorus or a Flanger.

I had a serious problem on my tenor Pathfinder with the 0th fret being way too high, hence when was is in tune chords made on the first and second fret sounded sour. Chords further up the neck were fine. I see this baritone version does not have a 0 fret, probably a good change.

Hello - The Baritone is tuned DGBE. You can use all the same chord shapes you know on GCEA but the would have different names. For example playing a C Major chord using GCEA tuning. on the Baritone that very same shape would be G Major. Ps - Thank you for the "awesome" compliment. Made my day. Peter.

Since in fairness this is a baby electric guitar using the DGBE strings of EADGBE guitar tuning, any electric guitar teacher could be of help. The majority of the time, the electric guitar is played with a pick. Jazz guitarists tend to use most of their fingers doing a pinch and pick technique. I hope that helps. Peter.😊

Peter i play in a small ukulele group and about to go out and do some care home gigs, i play tenor ukes including eight string kala, im a little confused as to buying electric barotone as to wether ive got to learn new uke runs and chord shapes again any advice
@PeterMossUkulele
10 ай бұрын
Hello David - There are 2 things to consider. Firstly, The Baritone tuning is DGBE and you are used to GCEA. However, you can use the chord shapes on both but they will have different names. For example, if you play a C Major shape in GCEA tuning you have a C Major. However, in DGBE tuning ii becomes a G Major. So you would need to learn 2 sets of chord names. On the plus side, the combination of GCEA and DGBE players in a group sounds really rich and full. Secondly, The Pathfinder is electric only and makes no sound without an amp. Whilst there are portable amps available, it's just another thing to carry. If you still want to pursue the Baritone, I would suggest an acoustic/electric model for playing care homes acoustically and the facility to use the built in pickup for larger venues. I hope that helps. Peter.

Peter, I would consider that a tenor guitar. In fact, depending on scale length (which Flight doesn’t list in specs), it looks a lot like the Tenor Tele that Fender offered as a special edition a few years back. The Fender was through-body strung, rather than hardtail, thought.
