That wing-mounted camera provides beautiful footage! Would have been nice to have seen more of your crossing of the Cascades before you arrived in the Chelan area, though!

Great video Trevor. Cool to see Methow Valley Airport, as it is a place that I have not been to as yet. Love the plane and thanks for the Angel Flights. It is incredibly cool.

It would be nice if in your video you show us also the airports you are visiting. Few youtubers do it, only the flight and nothing more. Instead I find interessant some shots if the airport and a little info about the place. Thanks. Very nice aircraft. A salute from Switzerland.

Thanks Stephen! Congrats on the DA62 order. You may already be on the DAN forum but if not, its worth checking out. There is wealth of information there.

I'm starting my IFR training here in Australia soon, how do you normally structure that knee board scratchpad you've got?
@twmba65
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Glenn - Good luck with the IFR training. That is a lot of work but well worth it. I file IFR on ~95% of my flights these days. The paper kneeboard I use is one I've worked on since my PPL. I'd attach a picture of it but I don't think YT has a way to do that in comments. I'd be happy to share the word document with you. If you want to track me down on FB, IG, Whatsapp, Twitter etc, we can DM.

How do you get fuel for your aircraft? Not readily available I would think
@twmba65

Actually it just uses Jet A ... so very available 🙂

@@twmba65 ohh, lubricity not an issue? Do you put additives in it?
@twmba65
2 жыл бұрын
@@MetalTeamster No additives needed. Approved for regular Jet A. There are some anti-microbials and anti-ice (prist) are allowed but I haven't used them.

At about the 8:25 mark you say, “Boost, gas, undercarriage, mixture, props.” Is the “boost” you’re referring to the fuel pump, or is it something else?
@twmba65
2 жыл бұрын
Yes you've got it. Boost is for the fuel pumps. The memory aid is a bit redundant for a Fadec engine like the Austro (no mixture or prop rpm setting). I like to still use it so I am still covered when I am flying non-Fadec planes.
