Recently, The Dance Enthusiast purchased a few Flip Cameras to play with. We thought it would be fun to lend them out to our dancing friends in order to get a "real deal" look behind their scenes: how they prepare for work, what their days are like, random gems of thought, and more-- A GRAND FLIPPING EXPERIMENT.
We would like to thank Anabella Lenzu, Sydney Skybetter, and Diane Kelber for being the first brave souls to play with us.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO ENGAGE IN SOME FLIPPING WITH THE DANCE ENTHUSIAST?
HERE IS HOW IT WORKS.
1. We lend your dance company a flip camera, which you promise to treat as you would your only and most beloved child.
2. You and members of your company record your work, your lives, your pets, your grandmother, conversations you have about dance, interviews you conduct, your warm-ups, your dinner, your rehearsals, your performance, your company picnic -(essentially what ever you would like that you don't mind everyone on the world wide web seeing)--the more variety the better.
3. You return the flip camera to The Dance Enthusiast at an agreed upon time. (You may download a copy of all footage taken for personal use, but we request you don't publish any of the FLIPPING material until The Dance Enthusiast has published you.)
4. We edit your video tape into a 3 or 5 minute FLIPPING segment which we will post on The Dance Enthusiast website, as well as on our KZitem and vimeo channels, and our facebook and twitter pages. You are happy. We are happy. And the world at large learns more about you in a fantastic, fun, flipping way.
