I like this chord sequence...
... like...
A lot...! I did a video on it a while back and you can see by how much betteand secure r the transitions are today just how often I played around with it since. I'm still trying to add randomness to it, but it's much more controlled - at least to me.
Nonetheless, I lost what chord I was at towards the end. You'll hear...
But ultimately this triggered what followed and I think that might even be th3 best part.
What do you think?
It's based on a RHCP song "sir psycho". The outro. It's in stark contrast to the rest of the song.
The Album was hammered for several hours non stop during one of my first ever road trips. (hi Alex, hi Hoffes 😊👋) down to France in the 80ties.
Both, the trio and the Blood Sugar Sex Magic album had a profound impact on my musical development. I'm glad it did, too.
At that time, consciously, it was mostly the drumming. I had never heard ghost notes like that before. I had played drums for maybe a year. Autodidactical, without any guidance. I could not fathom you could time those things. It made me practise on everything I could find. The drumkit I payed during rehearsal wasn't mine. I practised on a self made "kit" made from 2-5kg washing powder
Round containers.
Once you can time your ghosts on that, I thought, you can do it on anything.
It took a couple of years, but I think I was right 😊...
PS It took me some 20 odd years to find out its not "surf psycho"... 🤔🙄😎
