Josh and Peter review of the FMS Easy Trainer 1280mm from Diamond Hobby. More details, specs and photos here: www.flitetest.com/articles/fms... Thanks for all of your support!
I'm a new flyer, Learning on a Simulator and an FPV Spyhawk. The Stabalizing system in the Spyhawk helped me a lot. I just wanted to thank you guys for all your videos and the way you explain things. It has helped me tremendously. I do have a Bixler3 coming and i'm very excited. Thanks again for all you guys do.

Really glad Peter is on the show now, love his channel but always wanted more info from it. The stuff he makes is brilliant, David really liked them as well and I always wanted more info and vids on his channel. I hope being on here will really make him grow and if he leaves that his own channel will get bigger and better.

I got mine rtf and it came with a 2cell 1300 mah pack. And can get anywhere up to an hour with throttle management.. but I can also do things like roles and wing overs to.. I usually just take it up high and hook thermals but I can be real aggressive with the controls and it respond beautiful..
@MadhavKishore

It is not a Typo. I had an RTF version of this. It came with a 2 cell and a tiny 4AA transmitter. About the battery bay, Just start digging into the nose from inside and you will see there are two huge weights for balancing. Once the weights are removed you have enough space and weight for a three cell 1900

@roycspary8923

thank you for discussing the stall, as a beginner slow flight and how it stalls matters more than loops and speed this is just to learn the basics so thank you for explaining its more basic flying abilities and being able to turn out of a stall is impressive the wing on the inside of the turn speeds up less so can stay stalled and lead to a wing drop. this level of forgiving is what I'm looking for thank you for exploring this where other reviews have not

I bought this plane about 2 and a half years ago and I loved it I put a 4400 mah 3s in it and had unlimited vertical and it would still glide amazing and have camera gear on it and still get 45 mins out of it and I tought 2 friends to fly with it

FOR PETER: 1st idea (for your new huge cargo bomber...?): Fit another rc model inside (Fixed wing) for release. Something like the XF-85 Goblin project. That would be awesome! 2nd idea: Have a spooling winch system that can drop a camera out of the plane and fix some sort of fins to it for stable flight for an awesome new perspective. Then have the winch pull the camera glider thing back up to the plane. 3rd idea: Do something with your new plane with some rockets like the YMC-130 STOL project!

Winter won't stop videos these guys are hardcore ;) lol. Great video guys nice review I would like to see one transmitter running 3 planes or more that would be cool for synchronized flying. If anyone could figure it out the Flite Test crew can. Unless this has been done already grumble grumble .....
@FliteTest

If I remember correctly, they've done the opposite of that: 3 transmitters for 1 plane - it turned out pretty funny, but your idea is cool too!
@alfaDude156

I guess using 3 receivers with SAFE and AS3X to be able to let the receiver level all three planes out at the same time with the OCS if they get out of sync.
@BladeScraper
9 жыл бұрын
problem is that if wind blows one plane even slightly or even slight mechanical differences in them, they will fly differently. Then you correct for the plane that is out of track, the other ones will do the same movement and go insane more :)
@LineTwist

KpilotRCHelis ya like alfadude156 said the as3x i think would be a must have to allow this to work. I have a Eflite Umx Pitts with it it flys great in wind very stable it would counter the wind.

I wish you guys would use something other than the blackout for the air to air footage. It makes me feel sick. The tricopter was a much better platform in my opinion.
@trickhealey

I was about to comment on this! Thing is, I think David is really good at getting air to air video. He could keep the object in frame steady for long a long duration. This would naturally make the position hard to fill. However, I do believe a racing quad for this application is not ideal. Since David left, the air to air footage has been distracting. This is honest feedback, I'm not trying to be a doosh! Maybe it is time to explore tricopters, Alex?
@fluffypanda4641

trickhealey I personally don't mind that we get air to air footage. Maybe a little video stabilization edit could do the trick. And honestly we can't compare Alex to David, Alex just entered last year and David is an experienced concept designer with many years under his belt. Alex with the same time could also achieve same.

I can see where you'd think it a comparison, what I wrote. Perhaps a better way to put it is that, wow, what an amazing skill David has to get the footage he does. Lots of practice for sure! I do think a tri would work better.

What I want to know is how come Hobby King puts Bixler's name on a plane and DOES NOT FEDEX him one of the very first production models from the very first batch?
