To deliver net zero, offshore wind delivery needs to accelerate rapidly. For many countries however, the focus will need to be on deployment of floating offshore wind. Countries like the UK and South Korea are leading floating offshore wind growth, but many countries have the right conditions to see rapid floating offshore wind growth.
In GWEC’s 2022 report “Floating Offshore Wind - a Global Opportunity”, we set out the case for floating offshore wind and identified a chasing pack of countries that could challenge early pioneer markets.
In this webinar, held jointly with WindEurope, we look at the prognosis for floating growth in Europe, and focus on 2 countries highlighted in our report - Italy and Ireland.
