Back in those days when Florida lost to auburn it was almost always because of a disastrous performance. I still remember this game . 🙄

This game & the Tenn game😫ugh. Been a Nebraska fan my whole life, but I always watched Florida if it was on, rooted for the Gators. When they played their best, the 2001 Florida team was so good. I think Spurrier one time said statistically, (maybe he meant off, def, special teams, turnover margin) the 2001 team measures up better than the 1996 team. I really wish Florida would have played Miami in that Rose Bowl. At the end of the season everybody wilted. OU lost, Texas, Tennessee, all the 1 loss teams kept losing. Neb had no business on that field with Miami. After all was said and done, some might have said Oregon would have been a better match-up. But I would have loved to see 2001 Florida playing their best, in the Rose, I think they could have beaten Miami

I was privileged to be on the field cheerleading for the tigers at this game. One of my very favorite & most memorable games ever! I remember my parents saying before the game that it would take a miracle for us to win… well, I guess we got one 🙌

I graduated a couple of years before that game but it was definitely one of the most fun and surprising victories over the last 20 years

This was on my birthday. My best friend (huge Gator fan) bought us 1st row seats. (side note: somehow 20 years later I've found myself living just a couple of miles from Central High School in Chattanooga---Damon Duval's high school). Other than the awesome win, the thing that I remember most was constant and warm and swirling the wind was that night. Like being inside a mini-tornado but kind of pleasant. Great memories!

At 0:04 on the ticker is the reason why 5-6 North Texas made a bowl game over 8-3 MTSU. I'm a WKU grad, and yes, I get why UNT won the tie-breaker, but a team with a losing record should never make a bowl over an 8-3 team. Hopefully the bowl or NCAA people learned their lesson
