Harold looked like the dinosaur on Gumby with those big eyes. By the way, what's a dinosaur's least favorite reindeer? Comet! Jan and I went to see my brother when he lived in Titusville, Florida, and he asked us if we wanted to go see the manatees. I told him that we didn't have a lot of time left, but he said he knew a place where manatees are 100% of the time, so we went. We got there, and there were no manatees. My brother then said, "Wow, they're here 50% of the time." I reminded him that before we got in the car he said they were there 100% of the time, and he replied, "Well, I've only been here once." That's not a joke. That's just my brother. Sorry you were rained out, but I enjoyed it! Stay safe, Jay!

Great video! My family and I visited the Ocala to St.Pete area for many years from my childhood until a few years ago (1960s-early 2000s). I love Silver Springs, Weeki Wachee, Highway 19, Tarpon Springs, Clearwater, St. Pete, etc. I'm hoping to get back down there when possible. You should do a video featuring Haslam's Books on Central Ave in St. Pete. I've bought many a book, comic, and monster mag, there over the years. I also heard it was haunted, but I just dig it for the great selection of new and used books. Looking forward to "the much ahead".

Next door is Florida cracker kitchen which is also great. If your in town I’ll buy u lunch at coney. The dinosaur is called the foxbower dinosaur named after the guy that built it. I guess u have to know this stuff if you live in Spring Hill. Lol. Stay safe jay

Wow...you were in my neighborhood today, lol. Weeki Wachee State Park is about a 5 minute drive from my house and that pink dinosaur is something I drive past at least once a week. You may already know the history or our mermaids but if not, please do the research; it’s an interesting story. Also, in addition to Elvis there were quite a few celebrity visitors here throughout the years. You could seriously do a whole video (maybe even a two parter) of just the mermaid history. AND after the shows you have opportunity to get a picture taken with a mermaid 🧜🏼♀️. The show it’s self is of course a little bit cheesy but it’s still fun. My daughter, her hubby and I went to see them on Thanksgiving morning this last year. Anyway, loved seeing my ‘hood on your channel 😁. PS: that attached waterpark is called Buccaneer Bay.

You should check out the towns of Aripeka, and Hernando Beach near Spring Hill. They are small coastal communities accessible by County Road 595 (Osawaw Blvd), and there's a lot of cool sites there. There's a store in Aripeka called The Norfleet Store that used to be an old gas station; and a library run by a local historian who has gathered lots of information about the town, named Louis Charity. Did you know that in the 1930s, Babe Ruth spent an offseason in Aripeka? He stayed at what was known as The Osawaw Inn (That unfortunately got burned down by arsonists in the 1980s). So, yeah, just as Elvis spent some time in Spring Hill, and Brooksville; Babe Ruth also spent some time in Aripeka. Hernando Beach used to be a phosphate-mining area, but eventually got turned into a community where people live on the old canals dug up from the phosphate mining days. Not much else that I can think of that makes Hernando Beach in particular something to check out. But, nearby is Bayport, and Pine Island Beach; the former being a site of a Civil War battle in 1863, plus a lot of other cool history behind it; and the latter being a nice little beach to check out, with bathwater-warm water, and nice little Ice Cream shop. I'm just giving some recommendations for the future, if you haven't visited these places, already.

Jim Bo's is a multi use building , they use to sell fireworks outside of the garage , and have the museum and a great Haunted house in October which is really good but I don't know if they still run it these days . The mini golf place had its hay day long ago with batting cages , arcade but sadly was recently demolished . The pink dino used to go with an old Sinclair gas station on site and luckily it has survived all these years later . The bigger white dino shop is famous and has been on many shows and documentary's through the years . The water park is where I spent my youth , me and my brother used to be in the brouchers. The spot with all the road side creatures is where back in the day the flea market stood and was really the only thing out there to get food and trinkets cause nothing existed out there then . Homasssa Springs has changed alot over the years but is still fun to visit and get food at the Monkey Bar near by . Never been to the Gorilla before , great video .

Loved that u took time to do this..tour..pasco co. On u.s.19 is turning to be a city of decay..as u tour the area..on u.s.19..the area has started this issue in the 1990s..why would u open a business when u have folks breaking in your property..barbed wire fences are going up.in some areas business..near grand ave and s.r.54..around business property..I take care of a self serve car wash..near bye..we've had coin boxs broken into..homeless folks sleeping in the wash bays..bushes..its sad..when we move in our home in the early 1960s it was a nice area..the oyo hotel on u.s.19 was a very 5 star hotel..I have pics of our family staying there in 1973..swimming at the pool..eating in the restaurant..at the hotel..u would see late model cars parked at the hotel..the county it seems wants to hold property owners when these homeless folks leave there garbage all over..fine the business owners ..when these folks destroy and steal ..yes it was a nice place to live..in new port richie.area off moog and u.s.19. We been here almost 60 yrs..on our homestead..yes I left to get a good paying job up in Chicago...for 30 yrs..but I'm back full time and I'm retired..ty for posting this
