Ih my goodness, I have to comment on the Holly Hobbie at 23 minutes. It was the first thing I ever stitched in 1976 when I was 13. My aunt loaned me the chart and I made a sweet little ruffled pillow out of it. My sister took possession of it when I later left home to get married and she still has it on the bed in her guest room at her house and refuses to give it back, lol!

Congratulations on your FOs! They look great! Happy Belated Birthday! Wow, that was quite the haul. Love the GK Rivendell pattern, that is going to look amazing. For your Dimensions floss organizer, try loosely braiding the floss together so they don't tangle. You can still take single strands out. Hope you and your family stay healthy. Take care and thanks for sharing.

Hi Megan! So lovely to see you back again! Belated Happy Birthday!!!!!!! I love the Fall Fairy, have admired it for years but not purchased it so looking forward to seeing your progress. Wonderful job on keeping up with your temperature tree! Did you hear that parts of New York got over 5 feet of snow all at once and another town is at 77" and still snowing? That is insane! It is cold here in Texas, currently at 41 degrees at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Have not been above the 50s in a couple of weeks. It is also raining currently so it is a cold miserable day. Hopefully my grandson does not want to go out because he is currently in the temper tantrum stage if he does not get his way and this grandma doesn't go for that at all. His mommy did not get away with it and I don't let him. Villa is looking fabulous! I really enjoy seeing your progress on your design. Together is looking wonderful! I do love the variation in the sky colors that are coming into play now. That was a lot of stitches put in on that piece. The purples coming in on San Fran are gorgeous. Love Katie Kitty and the Advent animals. Have it to stitch as well one of these years. LOL So nice that your husband thought it was cute as well. I am working a similar method on the new HAED I started but from the bottom. I am working on Mini The Nativity and the first color I picked has over 3300 stitches so it will take me a while to finish that color, 3031, but eventually it will get there. I am working it full cross 2/1 on 18 ct pre-gridded which confuses me as to which is the #1 stitch, the gray one or the first white one. Home on the Mountains is gorgeous! What great kit investments and other finds! I have that red alphabet book. Wow, no chocolate chips, that is very sad. I used to love For the Love of Cross Stitch magazine back in the day. I would love to share the fabric bundle with my mom as she loves snowmen and sews, and I would love the table runner piece. So sorry your mom got so sick as well but glad you never got it. Thank you so much for sharing your updates with us. Happy Thanksgiving and happy stitching.

Thank you Dawn! 😀 yes, Fall Fairy is beautiful 😍 oh my goodness poor NY! And you’re almost as cold as we are! My daughter is in that tantrum phase, too 😫 I’d love to see some of your work too! 💕 I usually count the gray line as #1 but it takes getting used to since you end on white in both directions 😆

Pattern keeper just shows cross stitch and sometimes not the backstitching. The spider webs was all backstitch. Same thing if you ever do a Long Dog or twisted band sampler. When you open the pattern in pattern keeper, you can open it as a PDF and then you can see the backstitch.

Happy belated birthday! Glad you had time with your family and a bunch of new haul to play with! Would mind sharing how you found the wheel you used for the 24 hours of cross stitch? I would like to set something up like that for 2023 to help me touch both knitting and stitching projects. Looking forward to continuing to follow your videos!😊
@stitchingmoon
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I like the wheel and was using it in the same way. But I found it kept choosing the same things. You can set it so that the item is removed after it’s chosen, like I did for 24hocs. But I prefer something more random that keeps all projects in it. So now I do a random number generator. Not sure if that clears things up!

For the dimension kit threads, if you separate one thread out and give it a little tug the thread will come right out. Your work looks lovely, I love the variety!

Your Halloween Quaker is beautiful, congratulations on your finish! I love how you made it into a wall hanging! Good Fortune looks great - I wouldn’t worry about the back, no one ever sees it anyway. So much new stuff, how fun that must have been to go through it all! Sorry to hear your family got sick, and your visitors also, that’s too bad! Glad it didn’t last very long and you still had time to enjoy their visit! Happy stitching and I look forward to seeing you again soon! ☺️💕

I love your Halloween Quaker it came out wonderfully! A tip for pattern keeper, it doesn’t show backstitch in the actual part where you can mark your stitches you have to view the original pdf which you can do from the main page where you see all your files. I don’t think it really matters for that pattern since it is beautiful without it but just so you are aware for the future.
