Those microbursts are amazing….my husband was walking the three blocks home from a friends and one come up with the wind taking down trees on the street in front of him…he flattened himself against a house until the five minutes was over. Debris…oh my. Anne of Green Gables is one of my favourite series of books….i will have to reread to find the sadness that I don’t remember.

lol at “three eyed cyclops” - I think you should use Warm Hearth too. Even if you order another skein of the called for you could end up with a dye lot that doesn’t match. That difference is crazy!

Great stitching! Good luck with the potty training and napping! Wish I had those days back when my kids were small, but I liked the 5 - 10 age badt!

Jordan, I can't tell you how much I enjoy your flosstube! I look forward to your video each week. Your projects are lovely, and you inspire me every week. And, WOW, your project bags are just magnificent. I only wish I could afford to get one for each of my WIPS, but on this retired income I live on, I have to use my money on projects themselves. Enjoy stitching, and see you next week. P.S. I loved Geek Girl as well.

I loved your Pumpkin Patch Farm. The frame works great with it. Kids take naps in kindergarten so she needs to continue nap time. My mother made us take naps in summertime even when we were nearly teenagers. We would climb out the window, go play in the woods, and come back and pretend we had just woke up. I'm sure she knew what we did but we didn't come to her with arguments during that time and with 5 kids in 6 years she needed a rest from us.

That frame is the perfect color to match your autumn piece! And I had to roll my eyes and commiserate with you on the complete dye lot difference in the threads for Feast of Friendship. I wish companies would be more consistent and not sell the color if it's so drastically off from the original. I know Colour & Cotton is pretty diligent about that.

Loved the finishes , I thought the frame for the Pumpkin stitch was really fitting for that piece. WOW that weather event sounded a little scary, good to know you guys came through it okay, it's always sad when really old trees are taken down like that. Happy Stitching!

When my kids were little, in the late '80's early '90's, at nap time, I would pull up a little chair to their beds and sit til they fell asleep. I would read a book. I knew they needed a nap as much as I did.😂 Good luck on the next phase in your children's life.

Love all your projects! Can you maybe make a video or share what times you stitch and if you stitch at night? I also have 3 kids, mine are all boys. 9,7 and 4 years old. Summer is exhausting. I feel tired and they get more energy as the day goes on 😅 Also I have always been curious about your stitching spot setup? Like what light you use? Do you use magnification? Thank you so much Jordan

You've got this Jordan! Maybe you don't have to give up naptime - even if she's not napping, have quiet time in the day. She has to stay in her bed, give her a book, or a toy or whatever, but she has to be in her bed during the alloted time. (You can get a sand timer to give her a visual reference of the time remaining) If you can start, be consistent and put in the time for a few weeks to really reinforce it, I think you'll still find your needed quiet time during the afternoon. It might help if even your older kids have a quiet time to chill in their beds so she doesn't think she's "missing" out on any "fun" I stopped by a small town thrift store today to 'check out if they had any frames' - because you taught me that, LOL - and there were 2 that I thought were pretty fabulous. When I asked how much they were she told me $1 for each, which was great but then I got up to pay and she told me she wasn't even going to charge me for them. Score! It's interesting to hear your thoughts on Anne with an E -- I did read those books growing up, and watched the series with Megan Fellows which is just far superior in my opinion. I don't think the Netflix version truly captures the spirit of Anne - which most people who grew up with the books - feel. But those, like you, who didn't read the books, think the series is good. I hope your thread works out for your shutters - do you stitch one full cross at a time with variegated thread or do you stitch the dutch method? I really love stitching dutch method and I've ordered some Roxy Floss for a project and trying to decided what to do....

Oh yes we are prepping her room to be completely safe for naptime/quiet time so that even if she does get out of bed she can’t hurt herself and will still get that downtime! Great job on the frames!! That’s exciting! I have been told the older version of the show is fantastic so someday I will give that a try for sure!

Oh and with verigated thread I stitch one cross at a time but with non verigated thread I do one leg at a time!

Beautiful work as always! I have to say the PBS Version and the books of Anne of Green Gables are full lightness and happiness. When I watched Netflix's version first episode I was horrified! Not like the 90's version or books at all! Maybe you should check those out.
