I’m so glad your family and home are safe from the horrible fires in Oregon, Olivia. The pictures of your yard are so somber. 2020 is just... there are no words. The little Give Thanks pattern is so cute. I love stitching for Thanksgiving. The story about your husband’s paternal grandfather is fascinating.

Where have I been? I just ran across your channel tonight! I just loved this video. I think your stitching and your quilts and your decorations and your thoughtfulness and mindful attitude are just beautiful. Oh, that Hocus Pocus quilt is a dream! I do send prayers for all of you caught within that fiery circle of destruction, danger, and surreal sadness! I am definitely going to watch your back episodes. (Hope not tonight because it is now 4:21 AM... lol) I have recently rediscovered the joys of stitching. I have not done any since before my son was born in '81! So much has changed up! I am doing Coming to America. Thanks for your idea about back stitching because everything I stitch is the same color as the background! It is beautiful, but very subdued. I am stitching on the Vintage Country Mocha 18 ct. 1 over 1... I have come too far to go back to England and start over but I, too, would change my fabric! Take care! I will be thinking of you and your neighbors in those beautiful woodlands.

Please continue to stay safe, be kind to yourself and know that you and everyone on the west coast are in my prayers. Your Anniversaries of the Heart is truly a labor of love. Would you ever consider writing a journal for your children to accompany the piece? A written record of each block, documenting your thoughts and feelings as you worked on it...that would be a treasure. Thank you for sharing your quilts as well.

I am so sorry for what you are going through with the fires. We had a pasture fire and by the time I noticed it our volunteer fire department was pulling in our drive way. It was scary and I just knew it was going to jump the fence to our backyard. Coming to find out someone was burning brush and a stiff wind blew and it jumped from their yard to our pasture. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God keep you in his hands and those that are doing battle with the flames.

I am a basically a quilter and knitter, but enjoy doing an occasional cross stitch pattern. You are inspiring with your cross stitch projects. I am also a big dog lover having trained Leader Dogs for the Blind in the past and have always had a dog. Freddie is adorable. I now own Bailey, a mini red dapper dachshund. I totally understand Freddie going through the terrible 2's. Bailey is 2 and hasn't slowed down yet.

Hi Olivia, I love the Lavender and Lace series, what a lucky haul. I am from Florence Oregon originally, it breaks my heart as well to see the west coast on fire, I now live in the Sierra's near Lake Tahoe, we rarely had a break from the smoke, every wind change brought smoke from a different fire, very sad. It is important to have a family tree, I have learned so much about my family, I am a direct descendant of both the Hatfield's and McCoy's, interesting lineage. Great video 🐝

I appreciate your comments on the linen for the Coming to America pattern. I bought the kit which includes the 36 count linen. Hi Olivia, so glad you and your family are safe from the fires. Here in Australia we are used to bushfires, unfortunately, and went through some really terrible fires last summer. Lucky you getting the Lavender & Lace patterns. There were a couple near the end that were new to me, too. I did Angel of Grace but left the wings off. I was lucky to salvage it (because it was framed) after my house burnt down. Unfortunately Guardian Angel, which was finished but not framed, was lost in the fire along with all my other projects as well as a number of quilt tops which were waiting to be sent off for quilting. I wonder which pattern you will do first? My guess will be one of the Celtic ladies. Stay safe and well, with best wishes from Down Under 😘💕🇦🇺.

Ok, poor cross stitch design photographers. Their work is never good enough to REALLY show how gorgeous something is once it's stitched. I guess that's the magic of cross stitching! Case in point, the stocking you are working on? I've looked at it a couple of times on different sites and thought, well, eh. But then, when you held it up? OMG. It's GORGEOUS. So totally NOT what the image looks like on the package! So now I AM going to have to stitch a bunch of stockings. Thanks, I guess? lol. Take care!

I'm so glad you're all safe and well with the fires. It's so terrible. As an Aussie we had a shocking 2020 also however it was never as close to my home as it seems to be with yours. The breathing is hard isn't it. I was so excited the other week to see my online LNS started stocking BB Anniversaries.
