@@laurabridson1795 I believe for these I used the 1/2 inch disc with a 1/16 inch thickness. I have a variety of sizes but that's a good one to start with. Don't buy too many because you might decide you like a smaller, thicker one. It's kind of a personal preference. Have fun!

Thanks for sharing your tutorial. I had never seen this before so it was really good for me. As you were making it I wonder if the smaller size could be used on the back of the bigger one giving you something more to grab onto when putting on or taking off the needle minder.

Calico, I am wondering if you frame any of your own needle work or do you have it professionally done ? If so who do you use or might know of that you could recommend? I have a large piece to have done and the person I used to use has retired. Thanks for any info you can give. Love your videos!
@calico_whimsy

Hi Sharaon! Sadly, I rarely frame any of my needlework. I had one piece done at JoAnn's years ago, and have framed one or two pieces myself and did a poor job at it, lol. I have used other non-framed methods of finishing using a lot of tutorials from Vonna, The Twisted Stitcher. I think the place to start is by checking with your LNS to see if they do framing or can recommend someone that specializes in needlework framing. If you want to try it yourself, I can track downs some youtube videos I've watched in the past with good info.

@@calico_whimsy Thank you. i did see the video by Vonna but not sure I could do it. The piece is about 37 x 24 so is large...poem and a special tree that my son grafted for me with his cross stitch app. It is for a friend of mine. I will let you know how it all turns out. Also I have never done lacing or much framing just simple stuff.

@@Shycat996 There is a video ( or two) from years ago that the flosstube TaraC made. It shows s technique using pins. It is still looks like a challenge, but I have used the technique the few times I played around with framing. I will link them as soon as I find them...
