Oh you're fun to watch! The Smoky Mountain Stitchers gave you a shout out and I'll have to watch your Flosstubes from the beginning! I've stitched the Donna Vermilion Giampa stocking that you have Grace on it. I love the addition of the pretty stitching at the top! And just seeing the cover photos of another Flosstube, I've stitched some Celtic ladies, but not in stocking form! How creative! I hope that you enjoy the Chatelaines! I have several kitted, some finished, and some WIPs. They're so blingy and fun (to me). Thank you for all you've shared! I'd love to travel to Italy. 🙂

Thank you for the video, I enjoy the adventure and how you change up patterns. For the Teresa Kogut (sp) patterns I would do flat folds then at Christmas you could show them all. I have a piano so that is my display place. On the long thin pictures I might do a bell pull set up so I could change them out when I wanted. I still need to buy the grinch that stole Christmas so I can play with making a cross stitch picture for my daughter in law. You are so inventive I enjoy your videos so much. I have the native by Mar Bek if I ever stitch it.

For the record, I giggled at every pun, at a minimum. You are so fun to visit with! I have 3 Lavender & Lace angels kitted up and I am desperate to start them... And a few more patterns in my collection that I haven't kitted but I love. Okay, you asked for ideas: With those Teresa Kogut angel designs, how about a square angel bunting? You could even attach bells and put it in a high traffic area so that you can reference "angels we have heard on high." Regarding the modge-podge idea... What if you laced your stitching onto foam board, then mount that onto your modge-podged fabric board? You can trim your stitching mount with upholstery cord or other "zhuzh" trim that coordinates with the decorative fabric. I wouldn't affix your stitching directly onto modge-podge but I haven't tried it. I've used the sticky board that you can get in craft stores, but only on pieces I don't care about over-much. Lastly, I was NOT surprised that you are stitching a sampler as a stocking. I originally did not see the appeal of samplers, but now I love them because they are so customizable! What I WAS surprised about is that you purchased 3 Chatelaine kits. I have one as a WIP - they're very pretty and very fun. My suggestion is to use a working copy and two highlighter colors - one to highlight your stitching path (yellow works great) and one contrasting color to highlight completed stitches. There is a facebook group devoted to Chatelaines, and I would also recommend that group for any issues that might come up with reading your pattern. I can't wait for Part 2!!! - Leah

Hey Leah! I just saw you uploaded a video tonight too. It's a little late tonight, but 'll be sure to get to it tomorrow. I REALLY like the bunting idea for the Kogut angels and the angels we have heard on high! 😇 I appreciate your thoughts on the Mod Podge question. I do so little framing so I'm never sure the best way to go about those sorts of things. I've never done lacing, but I've seen some talk about it on videos. I'll check that out. I am enjoying the sampler. I can't believe how compelling it was to start. I dropped my other plans and got right to work on that as soon as it arrived. Thanks for the tips on tackling the Chatelaines. I already am a lurker in the FB Group. I'm sure that will be really useful if I get in over my head. Looking forward to watching your next video. --Deb

Hi deb! Thanks for sharing some of your Angels. There were quite a few I hadn't seen before. I also am super intimidated by the only chatelaine I have kitted up (butterfly lace mandala). I think it's just something you have to dive into and not think too much about. That's what I tell myself anyway!🤣 Going to go back and watch your Michael Powell video. For some reason my bell doesn't go off when you post a video so I had no idea you had a Michael Powell video!🤣🤣 Looking forward to you Angels part 2! Take care!🤗

Deb, you need to become a designer, you are amazing! And I wish you were closer. I've had the mystery summer garden mandala chatelaine pattern for almost 2 years & I'm afraid to even start it, mainly because I can't get it into pattern keeper but also, it is very intimidating! Thanks for sharing all your stockings, they truly are beautiful!

Thanks, Wendy! I'm better at modifying existing designs than creating something new, I think. I was just telling Lucky Chance Stitcher that we should start a support group for Chatelaine hesitancy because she's afraid to start hers too. Although almost everyone I've ever heard talk about them says they have to force themselves to put them down once they get started. I haven't used Pattern Keeper. I guess I assumed it's more helpful for full coverage, which I don't do that much of. Not sure if that's true or not. Glad you enjoyed the stockings and the video. --Deb

@@thetravelingstockingstitcher I guess I should just take the printed pattern to Staples & have them enlarge it. I think her hard copy is so very small & hard to read. I hesitated so long on a PK purchase but I too love it, it is a game changer for sure

I take a picture with my phone so I can make it bigger. Then I stitch viewing the pattern on my phone or a tablet instead of a paper copy, but I don't use a highlighter to check off what I've done. I'm too afraid I'll get it all over my work. I usually don't work on a lot iof confetti so it hasn't been much of an issue for me before now.

Thanks for the video! I have to admit that my initial reaction to mod podging stitching was to cringe. But it might fit some people’s tastes, so I guess my suggestion would be to stitch a few stitches into some scrap fabric and mod podge the scrap as a test sample before doing it to a bigger piece. Definitely let us know how it goes!

Glad you ejoyed the video! I wasn't going to Mod Podge the actual stitching (I would cringe at that too) I just meant using Mod Podge to affix some decorative fabric to a board that would serve as a sort of a mat that I could then affix the stitching onto. Who knows--I may never get around to it. Thanks for watching!

Hi Deb. Always love watching and this video did not disappoint! I also always get a few laughs with you, and again, did not disappoint! I also think the Teresa Kogut angels are beautiful. Let me preface my "suggestion" (I'm really stretching to even call it that) / idea / thought - by saying that I am creatively-challenged, and that is putting it kindly! Perhaps you could either stitch background/surround the angel with a particular bible verse / piece that you find appropriate - one that the face points you toward? Or surround with sheet music with the words from the carol that she brings to mind? That's the best I've got!! :) Looking forward to your next video! Steph x

Halo there, Deb! Another great video from you. Love the modifications you made to all your projects. Have you found a software program to help you with your changes? I got a little teary with you when you were expressing your gratitude for the stitchy kindness you received. I don't know anything about modge podge but have you considered just displaying your finishes like unframed paintings- stretched over something and just hung? Hope that makes sense. Love all the finishes you showed and the chatelaines you ordered. OMG- 8 lbs of beads! I know you will put them to great use. Take care and thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Gina! I have been using Stitch Fiddle software to chart up some things. It looks like they've recently changed some of the free features like copy and paste to be in the premium version. I've heard about Pic2Pat, but haven't checked it out. I really was touched by the stitchy kindness too. It really restores your faith in humanity in these fractured times. As for displaying the Kogut angels are you talking about stretching them over a canvas? I've seen a KZitem video on that and that definitely is a good idea! Great thought! Thanks for tuning in again. See you next time. --Deb
