Wow, wow, wow, Sarah! I am blown away by all your beautiful fall FFOs! I think I may have to venture into berry land after seeing your amazing Blackbird one. It made me smile that Laura got you into stitching on linen - those ornaments are wonderful. I just bought 20 count PTP Aida thanks to you and Kari - I can actually see the holes without help and will try it on a couple of Carolyn Manning designs. I wish I had watched this episode a week ago when I was majorly procrastinating on getting the sewing machine out. Your enthusiasm about stitching is contagious and I am so appreciative that you are sharing that joy and creativity with all of us! ❤

I love your finishes and starts. I don't know if you watched Liz Matthew's video but she recommended stitching the two pieces and mounting and framing it together instead of sewing the two fabrics together. Good for you for stepping outside your comfort zone with lugana. When I started cross stitching I wanted to try all the fabrics and counts. Even weave is so nice. I love 32 count linen and now am starting 36 and 40. I purchased a head magnifying light from Amazon and it makes it so much easier to see. I just found your channel and subscribed.

Just came across your channel tonight and loved it. Great to find an aida stitcher. I have recently done 32 count linen and even weave but I am not enjoying it and forcing myself to work on it.. your samplers look lovely on aida , so I'm sticking with it. I love rit dying my aida. Its fun and easy and you can see what you are getting . I also believe that the over dyed floss is not always necessary. Especially in small areas there is no point. I do buy it, but i use a lot of DMC also and change the colours to what I like or what the pattern looks like. I think some people get too caught up in feeling every thing has to be what was called for on the pattern. Happy stitching. Looking forward to your next video. Love the accent by the way. Would you ever be willing to do a tutorial on 1 over 1 on Aida? I love that you and Kerri use aida…since most flosstubers seem to use linen! 💜
@Handmadebysarahw

Over one is how you stitch on aida. So on linen you skip a hole but you don’t skip a hole for aida. One over one is one strand or you can do two over one which is two strands. I use two strands for 14 and most 16 and then one strand for anything smaller like 18 or 20.

I see you use a lot of 18 count Aida ..are you using 1 thread or two..if you can mention that in your next video…looking forward to your next flosstube

I always use 1 strand on 18 or 20 and on 16 or 14 I use two strands. I think on a lot of 16 like picture this plus I could get away with one strand and I plan to try that in the future. But you won’t ever see me using two strands on 18 count. I don’t like that at all. It seems too bulky to me.

Are you related to Jessica O’Donohue? I just found your channel and I watch her channel. If you aren’t related to her she is definitely your doppelgänger. It’s amazing!! I’m enjoying watching your channel and think your work is so pretty.

Yes I used wdw dolphin for the house and then everything else I used the called for fancy or DMc colors. The DMc colors I used are 782 167 831 830 829 869 3031 then for fancy I used oil cloth and chestnut and looks like I substituted three colors - gingersnap, sarsprilla and toffee and then of course dolphin.

You can get them from your lns or I got mine from 123stitch or fat quarter shop and Wendy has an Etsy shop if you want pdf. Her shop name is createdfromtheheart and it’s from the heart needle art.

Thank you so much. There are so many different great places to order supplies from. I shop a lot at 123stitch.con because they are so fast for me. I get it in sometimes 2-3 days. They have a huge selection too. I’ve never had a bad experience there. If you are looking for a kitted up project with pattern and floss I would recommend trerhousefiberarts.com
