👍19 If you ever plan to have a Q&A about your channel, remember my question and answer it please. How do you manage to control the RC and to record it at the same time? Today's rough route made RC driving even more challenging. Great job! Thanks for sharing. 😊😊

Good question! No, GREAT question. For my early videos I set an SLR on a tripod, but found it limited, as there were no tracks, dolly shots or pans. But what could I do since I needed both hands to drive? Answer - I came up with a gizmo to mount my iPhone to the transmitter. Better, but still awkward. Then I homemade another gizmo that would allow me to drive with my left hand only, leaving me free to shoot with the right. The early results were crashes and bad movie making. But with practice I was able to train my brain, and I like what I'm getting now. I prefer shooting with a phone versus a Go Pro or an SLR so that I can see action in the big viewfinder, and compose each shot carefully, taking into account the background, all four corners, level horizon, etc. The fun comes when I need to focus the lens on someone else's truck, while continuing to drive my own out of frame. I can do it, but it's a tough mental exercise. Thanks for your continuing support. I'm a big fan of your channel (with the changing name!) as you know. 😊

Thanks, Duke. Can't wait to see how your cement mixer works out. Great idea to convert your TX to JST lipo power. Hope you're feeling all better soon. Get well.

Thanks, Nickster. Our southern neighbours must think we're nuts rejoicing when it gets below zero C. But it opens up a whole new world of possibilities, eh? The creek ice is now thick enough to walk on, which means the forest is one big playground...finally.

I know exactly what you mean. Our rivers are the same way. Not a lot of snow but what a place to play. Ice everywhere. :P@@NaturallyRC

Awesome course you have marked out, I'd love to run that one day (just not in those current freezing temps, Lol!) I thought the Land Cruiser was going to flip over on those side hills but it just stays planted, what an awesome rig!

Thanks @CactusCrawlersRC. You're welcome to come and crawl with us Crazy Canucks any summer month that suits you. Gotta warn you though, it can get hot here -- we hit 80F (yes 80!) last August and all complained. LOL. Anyway, we'll supply the rich Canadian beer (and Poutine). But AdventueTime is also right. As I was saying to Nickster, up in Newfoundland, the creek ice is now thick enough to walk on, which means the forest is one big playground. Drifting until your face hurts from grinning. Stay tuned for that in my next video! Cheers...
