Is this step necessary if you want to implement the Flowise code into Botpress? Or would the localhost code work?
@leonvanzyl
Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure how you'd go about integrating Flowise with Botpress, but generally speaking you'd have to deploy your Flowise projects to the cloud if you'd want to call it from 3rd party apps. These apps won't be able to access it if it's only running on your PC

So, I tried this. It works, but the files get deleted within hours even when saved properly. Not sure if this is due to the server resets you've mentioned. It's easy to setup, but otherwise renders the free version worthless due to this reason.

Hey there. I do mention in the video that the files get deleted on the free plan, hence the instructions for setting up a disk on paid plan 😁

@@leonvanzyl I know but my impression was that they would last longer..I tested it just now and the files are gone within minutes. Any free options? I use Hostinger for web hosting but I don't know if it can work with Flowise.

@@biasedlyunbiased I haven't been able to find any free options that include storage. However, Render is the most affordable in my experience. If you're planning on selling your services building chatbots, $7 is really a tiny investment.

@@biasedlyunbiased technically, it's like $7.20 😁. I've been using that single instance to create several flows for clients and my own projects.

Hi Leon, I've been following your video and basing myself on render disk creation to try to do the same in Azure. I've added a FileShare and was able to make it link and create the file (even though with 0B) all fine but then I always get a file lock and the system doesn't allow me to save any flows since it's locked. Do you have any tutorial for Azure on this or do you have a hint for me? Thanks in advance ;)

I haven't tried deploying to Azure yet.. only AWS me GCP. Will release a video on deploying to AWS at some point. Maybe someone in the comments can assist you

@@leonvanzyl I made a workaround. Cloned and changed the connection to Azure SQL Server so to use it as a permanent storage. Now I've only hardcoded that so to try it out and need to prepare this to be a environment variable to select the BD type SqlLite or MSSQL and add the details for sql connection (currently only on sql auth and not azure ad auth). also needed to change the entities to define the type as nvarchar and the lenght to Max.

Truth be told, my free instance on Render has been running for a month now and I haven't lost my flows yet. I created a backup of the flows just in case.

There was no popup for password, i think it built without taking the environment variables into account. Great tutorial though, very clear, easy to follow.

Thanks man. Yes, the popup won't show up if you don't set the environment variables 😅

Great content, especially the Render part! Could you please specifiy a working set of environment variables for the newly required vars (since v1.3) APIKEY_PATH, SECRETKEY_PATH,
