Glad you like the humour. Not sure I would bother with flush caps on a future bike. Although you haven't a sport glide at least the mods can give you ideas for your own bike. Thanks for commenting and ride safe👍

Cheers Mark, just ordered a few more bits & don't even want to think of how much its all costing me😱. I may have to start charging for cleaning cars. My wife asked and I told her "you cant take it with you". Her reply was "that may come sooner rather than later: 🤷🏻♂️

Can now deal with the one sided cap on the new Sport Glide and balance the tank properly again. Penny pinching Harley.

Yep, it's called the Harley tax. I have been thinking of replacing the flush cap with just a single one but cant decide what cap I like🤷🏻♂

I literally just did that yesterday. Looks really good, hard to swallow the price though.

I find the pop up cap to be a pita to open.Your fingers slip, and can’t turn it because of sweat or the oils in your finger tips.I use a small pocket knife blade to pry it open.I’ll do the reverse of what you did, and put on a cap you can grab. Thanks for the video.

Hi Ben, I know what you mean , I use the palm of my hand but at the end of the day its about what works for you. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. ride safe👍

My fake cap is coming away from the tank... I think moisture has gotten into the double sided tape and using my Airblaster to dry the bike, I noticed it moving when drying it. Will have to figure out a way to re-do the tape somehow.

Yep, they look great but it's the one mod that I won't be adding if I replace the Sport Glide. I fitted one to my sportster when I had it and same thing happened just as I was changing bikes. I used super glue but no idea if it lasted as I changed bikes a few days later. When you think of the cost, it just doesn't add up. Im actually considering changing to a single traditional type of cap. Let me know how you solve it Max

Looks good, but difficult to open with bare hands! What is your experience? Ruud

Hello Ruud, I have never had any issues opening the cap. I always remove my gloves and use the palm of my hand to remove & replace. It defiantly looks good & I installed one on my sportster as well but don't think I would fit one again if I change my bike. Im even thinking of removing them both and replacing the real one with some form of traditional cap.🤷♂️
