Do you always use powder for your dry flies? Does it work better, or last longer than gel floatant? I’ve always used gel, but am considering trying the powder

What a lovely little stream and full of small trout. Do you think that they were stunted because there were so many in there? If so maybe that's why they were so keen to take your fly. Its reassuring to see that even the expert catches a tree sometimes.

It's not about how many dumb little minnows you can scoop up! I'd rather catch 1 LEGAL size fish in an hour. Hooking and handling traumatizes young trout beyond surviving. They'll dart off, but often die soon. Some hero.
@hardmanfishing
4 ай бұрын
A large majority of the fish in this video are mature, they just don't get big. As for the fish being small it's a fair opinion, I just thought it would be fun to challenge myself. Next time I'll make sure that I get the opinion of timtipton6349 before I film a video and see if he thinks I'll be considered a hero for a KZitem video 😂 Thanks for watching!

I was so turned off my the title of this that couldn’t bare to watch it. You’re young so you do get it yet. The numbers don’t matter it when you are fishing in a way you enjoy on your own terms that match how the fish are feeding at the time is what it’s about. I would rather spend time fishing to fussy and challenging 12” fish I can see or that are eating on dry flies on the surface in small numbers than chucking worms for 5 pounders. In a world of shrinking habitat and dwindling trout populations pounding on them for big numbers is just plain wrong.
@hardmanfishing

I hate the "young people don't know anything" narrative so much. You clearly don't watch my videos much or you'd know I rarely go for numbers. I've also not thrown a worm for a trout since elementary school so idk where that's coming from. And my actual job is to protect clean water and I'm friends with and work with people who have done more for these fish in the past week than most have done in their lives. It's just such a tired argument for some old fly fisherman who likes throwing dry flies to complain about a young dude having fun on the water. Stop gatekeeping and being condescending and you might actually get young guys and girls to participate and give back to a discipline I'm sure you enjoy greatly. Tight lines.

Brookies are not trout. That's what's wrong with the title.
