Please adjust your drag, when fish are stripping drag please don't keep reeling at Mach one. By doing that your line mono will be twisting unnecessarily. Other then that I like your video and tutorial was excellent.

Diggin' the low angle shots with the water near the lens. Glad it wasn't "super buggy" for you, it's always deluxe super buggy when I'm there!

I will let Lauren know you approve! She is always trying to get the best shot. And yeah, it was just one of those off days where the bugs weren’t out but thankfully we were!

Can I use this setup all year around

Absolutely, as long as it suits feeding habits for the region and time of year. You may have to change style flies but you could use just about any style fly with this set up.

The rubber band material is meant to be twisted till it pinches the line. Shouldn't need anything or sticks

The model I had did not come with rubber band material. I will look for that version in the future. Thanks for watching!

Curious, why do you keep your drag so low?

Since I am fly fishing with the spinning rod I like to use a really thin leader so It floats well and is less visible to the fish, these fish though not huge will like to dig their head down in the main current and grayling are notoriously good fighters for their size so I would hate for my leader to break off if the fish heads for fast water. If I let the fish take a little line when it’s fighting hard it’s less likely to brake off. Also with barbless hooks I feel it is easier to keep constant tension on the rod tip if the fish can pull back a little bit. Hope that made sense, thanks for watching!
