How tall are you? I've been reading reviews about this one being too short and flimsy, I myself am 5'10 and only 150lbs so hope its large enough but some reviewers said they were only 5'8" and that it felt too small. Great review btw!

I'm 5'11" and I think it is fine so far. As of first few tests, it is slighty too high off the ground compared to what I am used to with the Fitness Reality bench. Other than that is feel fine.

Is it better to lift heavy or do more reps?
@GamerBody
2 жыл бұрын
All that matters is a great enough stimulus and fatigue is created during the workout to tell the body to build more muscle at rest. I recommend a rep range that is challenging, isn't so many that your set lasts more than 90 seconds, and is safe enough where you can go to failure. As long as that environment is created, it doesn't matter.

It's about 1ft 9in from the floor to top of seat. It is slightly high but not bad for me at 5'11". If you are shorter it may be hard to stabilize your feet on the ground.

Overall, the Flybird bench is well built and stable. However, this is not a viable option for a taller person. I'm 6'3" (190.5 cm), 190 lbs. (86.4 kg). The backrest is 30.75" or 78 cm. When doing incline presses or similar exercises, the edge of the backrest is about 3"/7.62 cm too short. The edge of the bench is at the middle of the back of my skull. The pad is thick enough that I don't experience any discomfort, but it's a bit disconcerting when getting into position to do a set.

How should I get the money for equipment
@GamerBody
4 жыл бұрын
Work with what you have. If you can't afford it now, save over time little by little. I am looking to try and reduce my equipment to help those who can't afford it. It's not always about everything you own. I started with just dumbbells (major purchase for me) and a pull-up bar. Over the years I added in the dip bar station, resistance bands, and ab roller. Now I have quite a bit more and make more money so I can afford more, but if you can't afford it, use what you have and find a way. I am doing my best to provide information on what I can to those who dont have enough money for everything.

@GamerBody

@@calisthenicsbeliever7602 I don't think you even need that much. You could just start with a pull-up bar and master the basic calisthenics. From there, keep working up to moving to weights later. I believe Austin Dunham did that and look at him now. Keep working hard and above all else, stay consistent.

I'll have a review coming up soon after hitting the 30 day mark, but yes it does have some wobble to it (not terrible but it is there). My main complaint is how high off the ground the seat is. Being 5'11" I have some issues with feeling "planted" and stable using it.
@lucaslapierre7347

I've only used the Fitness Realty bench a nd Flybird so far. I like the Fitness Reality bench a lot, but it does not store in my closet as easily and that was my draw to the Flybird. Still a good bench, but tough to keep with the wobble and not feeling as secure.
