Is flying a BBJ much different to flying a commercial 737? Things I consider may be different include having a greater range with a lighter payload, lower bank angles for a better ride an so on

Coover BBJs have a greater range and différent payload. But it's the same flightdeck and aircraft so i think it's very similar to fly

Amazing how much quicker it can rotate without 150 passengers.

Forget the G 650 gulfstream, I'll take a Boeing Business Jet.

NkrumahTure I agree. The Gulfstream G650 is a marvelous, beautiful plane. However, I think the Boeing 737 BBJ is a better value, if a machine that costs $80 Million can be called a value. :) A new G650 will set you back around $70 Million. The 737 BBJ is $57 Million "green" (empty). Add $20-25 Million for your custom interior and options, and you get the $80 Million figure. For that, you get about 2 1/2-times the interior space, and a lot more baggage capacity. You have one or two bedrooms with bathrooms that have showers, and large living and dining rooms. You also have a large and complete gourmet galley. The height and width of the cabin is much greater than the G650, so it's easier and more comfortable to move around. You do sacrifice some speed and range compared to the G650, and you need a longer runway for take-off and landing. But, if you want supreme comfort-as well as what is one of aviation history's most successful and reliable jets, I think you have to go for the 737 BBJ.

Jeff Puha Yes I agree. I took a look at the 737 BBJ on one of the KZitem channels, and it looks more luxurious and spacious. Given a choice the 737 BBJ does seem to be the better buy. I can see myself winging my way across the Atlantic toward a exotic destination in such a plane. That would be great.

NkrumahTure HaHaHaHa! Yes. Absolutely! The standard 737 BBJ has a range of about 6250 nautical miles. That's enough to get you to many exotic destinations! I was blessed to be able to go to the island of Moorea in French Polynesia in 1996. It's 6 1/2 nautical miles from the main island of Tahiti, and is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I spent three indescribable weeks there. I've always wanted to go back, but life got in the way. The 737 BBJ has enough range to easily make it from New York City to the main airport in the city of Papeete on Tahiti. Then I would take a boat to Moorea. Easy as pie. All I need is a spare $80 Million. Hmmm. Better check the couch for loose change. Lol.

Can't tell who is the PF and who is the PM, too many hands on the FCU. Never move any switches on the active runway during roll out.

Frank G No switches were moved, what did you see??? The pilot flying is obvious the only thing I saw is Gear up after positive rate. Its ok for the PM to clean up on the R/W turning off autobrake etc on application of manual braking.
