That was truly a wonderful video, thanks for making it. When the Flying Scotsman landed in Australia, they found the frames were cracked and had to be welded then. They couldn't get any power out Scotsman at first and that is why it was double headed with 3801. They figured out no to fill the firebox to much and then the Scotsman was unstoppable. Also the pic you used for the Victorian R Class locos didn't seem to be the ones built 1951, that us Victorians are use to seeing. I thing they were the original R classes from late 1800's. Anyway, thank you again for the video. It was brilliant to see it all.

Wow, thanks for the additional information and looks as if, I took Victorian too literally, with the picture I used to represent the R Class at this time but, glad it’s getting the message across. The cracking is interesting too. I’ve studied the locomotive being lifted onto the ships. The images found appeared copyright bound so, avoided using. Do feel this could have also played a significant role in helping these issues along but, it’s not definitive. I clearly saw the buffer beam was out of line at the NRM around 2012 and on pictures beforehand. It has been corrected since, thank goodness. Now square to the track. I guess BR green was chosen, as it’s easier to keep clean, touch up, cheaper, someone don’t like LNER, many have commented they’re disappointment, on the NRM website but, just great to have it back on track and really appreciate your input. A lot gets glossed over, so, just wanted to collate, for others, like me, who didn’t really understand in the past 🍏 👍

Thank you 🙏 . Very much appreciated and so glad you managed to find it. The journey Flying Scotsman has had is quite remarkable and the making of this certainly took me on one. One of the conclusions I drew were priceless, like your kindness shown here 👍

Thanking you too, Aber. What started out as really, a days research, soon grew exponentially but, once committed to doing this, just had to go with it or, let it pass. It’s also solved a few unanswered questions of my own. Much appreciated🙏👍
