Looks and sounds great. Good flying! (Many seem to think if you’re not doing 1000 tricks per second they are not doing their job: generally that just makes me feel ill)

I just built my first Goblin, a 700 KSE. It was SO nice a build. I am really super interested in the 280 now. I've got a "hole" at that size and that Fireball 280 looks like a lot of fun. I will definitely buy/build SAB again.

Nothing wrong with that, you’ll get more comfortable the more you fly it and before long I’m sure you’ll be doing some light 3D. 👍🏻👍🏻

My guess is that they plan on replacing it with a direct-drive RAW version like they did with the 420. I personally like the “Kraken” look better, but the RAW is pure performance.

@@mangzrc ok I got it now, so I need ur help, I am just starting to get into this rc heli hobby, I bought a trex 450LP last night, ready to run with the transmitter and training kit, is a 450 good to start with, I didn't want to buy a 500 or up trex, plus I just spent 1400 on an xmaxx traxxas with 4s batteries two weeks ago.

Nice video! I have been looking at Your videos for about a year or so. And last november I finally decided to get My first heli kit, the 380 Buddy. I have flown on and of since spring 2019 with My Blade helis (150s, 230s and 360CFX 3s). And thought I would build My first kit. And I got some questions since I'm a newbie at building kits, and RC as a whole. I am also using the FC6250HX FBL, but have had some trouble setting it up. I have followed Spektrums own Setup series, but I just can't get the 12.5 degrees pitch needed in pitch and roll. I'm using KST X12-508 servos, and I don't get full travel for some reason? I get more travel when testing through the XBC100 Smart Checker. The ball links are at about 14mm (should be 13-15mm according to the manual). The heli have been collecting dust the last 3 months because I just lost motiviation.

I can completely relate to your situation, I have lost motivation on multiple heli builds due to complications. I was not able to achieve the 12.5 degrees either, which annoyed me for days trying to figure it out. I settled for as much travel as I could get without binding up anything and haven’t messed with it since. I’m not sure why the 12.5 is not achievable, but it surely has not affected me or my roll and pitch rate, the heli operates excellent nonetheless. I wouldn’t get stuck too long on small things, just keep on going, trial and error until you get it, that’s what I did when I built my first kit, which was a nightmare for me, I literally learned everything I know now by winging it and trying stuff as I went along. I never would have thought that settling up helicopters is as complicated as it is, but now that I have built a few, I know I can setup anything. Make sure to get the SPMA3065 cable to keep that 6250 updated, they have done quite a few updates. If you have any other questions, I’m here to help.

@@mangzrc After reading Your comment I got a bit motivation to start fiddeling with Buddy 380 again. But I still struggle with the AFR settings, I actually got the Roll to 12.5 degress over the boom this time. But Pitch still got me stumped?

If you don’t know how to assemble/fly collective pitch heli’s very confidently, than definitely not. Start with a Blade 230s v2.

I would start with a trex 450 and a good simulator, the really small helicopters are harder to fly and are far inferior in quality and will bore you very quickly especially if you drive rc cars like I do. £500 all in for a RTF trex is very simular to most rc cars that are hobby grade. I would personally stay away from any rc bellow £400 all in as they are built to be cheap, my first £200 rc lasted a few weeks because cheap diffs broke, shocks bent and it had very little spare parts. If you have never used rc before then cheap rc is a good choice but if you have already invested in rc then its not worth spending £200 on a real cheap heli. Its like having a £1000 race buggy and then buying a traxas slash, the slash will be real boring but the traxas slash to a 10year old would be awesome.

@@ktmbikes9227 if he's never flown a collective pitch but he's getting a simulator he should get the omphobby m2 with a rm tx16s as the 230s v2 is for beginners and gets grown out of quickly, cant do hard 3d where as the m2 is an absolute beast. However, the m1 would be even better as its more crash resistant Spending £500 into a hobby you don't even know you'll enjoy is quite risky but its an amazing hobby so he should enjoy it
