@@WindowLickingDeer I almost exclusively use MSFS 2020 now. It is by far the best simulator around now. Xplane just fell behind in quality, and their aircraft are too expensive. They had a good run for quite a while though, and I am glad they had set the bar for so long.

Great job of working together. Thanks for leaving the videos long...For those of us who don't get to fly any more, any moment looking at the panel and out the window is a good one...A few comments about cross wind landings. There are two parts to them. I hear you talk a lot about the first part, getting the plane on the ground safely...(wing down, crab then straighten...etc.)...The second part nearly got me a Hobbs one day. Strong cross wind from the right. As the airplane slowed, the effectiveness of the tail surface diminished slowly until about 40 miles per hour it was almost gone...the plane wind-socked slowly into the wind....first I ran out of rudder, then I ran out of brake (locking up the downwind brake just as we passed between two runway lights on the right.) That second part was a doozy...We knew we were at the limit for the aircraft, and the runway was very wide. Guess if I had known how bad it was going to get, I would have landed a little across the runway so that I had more room on the upwind side when everything said turn right... Great job on the videos...thanks for taking us along.

Not current nor proficient, probably never will be unless I hit MegaMillions or Powerball, but I most certainly do enjoy flying with you, and others like Chops, Jerry W, Steve-o and all the other great KZitem aviators who take us along. I'm also glad you didn't edit this down. The hours of crossed arms in the cockpit is telling, in a sense. I was actually surprised though when I ran the distance, Drake Field to Colfax County is only 621 miles. You might even, on a good day, make that in the Skyhawk, but not in the comfort or speed of the King Air. Also, with an elevation of almost 8,400 feet, I'm sure the poor old Skyhawk just wouldn't appreciate it. :D Of course, I don't think 991 would make it 2:06, either! LOL I looked up AXX on AirNav, and it shows a 17% usage by Military aircraft. I wonder what that's all about. I think this is great, and I really hope that you can make a career out of aviation in some sense or another. I don't know what you're majoring in college for, but flying Part 91 wouldn't be a bad thing to make a living on! :D

Ruben Philipse I've seen a lot of variation between KA-flyers in how they use ice vanes (forum posts, videos, nothing up close). Seems like personal or company preferences vary, som prefers FOD-security over a few percentage points of power, and vice versa. If you operate on 7000ft+ rwys at sea level in dryer climates, you likely don't ever need to retract the vanes, for example, regardless of wether the upgrade is installed.

Nice flight. I fly a 350 almost exclusively n my old Microsoft FSX (2006). I can't wait to get the new one (2020)! BTW The American FCC has NO jurisdictions over the 'seven forbidden words' on KZitem, which is international! Thus using 'shit' and 'fuck' is perfectly legal on YT! I hope to also be able to pilot a Pilatus PC-24 Switzerland's (my country of origin) only multi engine (light jet). Also as an advocate for ALL forms of human transport electrification, Israel shall this year 2021 release their new Eviation Alice tri-motor aircraft. I has two crew seats and 9 passenger seats as well. Two pusher props on wing tips and one pusher in tail. NO fossil fuel whatsoever! YAY!

Justin was just being polite. Single pilot ops become clunky and awkwardly slow when you have a young pilot in the right seat to deal with. It’s much faster and easier just to rip right through it solo. There’s nothing helpful about having to babysit, other than someone to talk to. But we’ve all been there and we owe it to help the next generation of pilots. ✌️

Flying an IFR plan at altitude is just a series of handoffs from ground to departure to Centers along the way to approach control to tower to ground. As long as you don’t have any problems, it’s no problem. Just stay ahead of the airplane. As a former USAF multi-engine pilot, I d like to recognize your excellent coordination and “living by the checklist”. Good job and many years of success ahead to both of you.
