The microzone c7 has a mixing mode that puts Fwd/Rvs on ch2 | and channel one combined with reversed channel 2 on channel one . Seems like a software update could fix it.

Nice. I'm trying to find a mix on the NB4 to work with vintage 4WS buggies. They work at speed, so if the 4WS (opp dir only) could activate below a certain speed, and cut off above a certain speed, it would be perfect. Like how the Tesla Cybertruck 4WS works. Is there any way the NB4 could do that?
@WTFRCCars

No I don't think you would be able to set it to do it a different speeds but you can set the mix to a switch so you can turn on/off the mix at the press of a button

I simply can not do it on my nb4. I have to flip the servos on the controller to get anything other then crab mode out of the mix channels. I've tried flipping the servos in the assignment menu for the buttons to no avail. How are you flipping the servos in each mix channel?

Is there a way to do 4WS with one of the knobs near the bottom of the screen on the side?

Yeh just assign it to the channel your rear steering is on

great tutorial. I will likely use the roller where my thumb sets for my manual control mode. is there a way to assign another button to "center" or "zero" the third channel? so i don't have to wind it back to straight?
@WTFRCCars

I've not found anything like that as it would mean 2 controls running one channel and that would conflict

Question, is it possible to set up the rear steers percentage to the front on a 3 pos switch? It would be nice to have on the fly adjustment, say 30%, 50% and 75%.
@WTFRCCars

You could set up 3 different mixes and switch between them or just change the mix value from a dial

Is it possible to adjust how much it turns the rear wheels for each button press? I'd prefer 5 positions, centered, 50% right, 100% right, 50% left, and 100% left.

you can set the rear steering up with as many steps as you like by setting how many positions the switch moves per press :)

Thank you for the great tutorial! I was able to implement your settings flawlessly. I have been playing with proportional steering on VR1-R as well. Is there anyway to adjust the throw required to reach the end points? For example, you have to turn the knob all the way to the right to reach the right end-point. Could you adjust it where only a 1/4 turn to the right would reach the right end-point? The only reason I ask, I am steering with my thumb and cannot turn the dial all the way in either direction without repositioning my thumb a couple times. It might not be possible, but if figured if anyone would know it would be you. Thanks. Jason

Do you mean limit the amount of movement you need on the steering wheel?

@@WTFRCCars I want the same amount of throw left and right, just decrease the amount that I have to turn the knob to get there. Let’s say for normal steering on a clock dial 12:00 would be straight, 3:00 would the the furthest end point to the right, and 9:00 would be the furthest end point to the left. I want to be able to turn to 1:00 and still be able to hit the furthest endpoint to the right, and 11:00 to hit the furthest end point to the left. Basically shortening how far I have to turn the knob and still achieving max steering to the left and right. It’s clear in my mind, just not so clearing trying to describe it in a post.

If you calibrate the nb4 but in the steering you only turn it to the max you need that will work how you want :)
