Depends if you plan on going live or playing at home. For now a great FRFR speaker will be the easiest to dial in and work with an FM3

Rosh, hello.. I’m new to the channel and just got a FM3 and was wondering where I should start with your videos? Do you have a #1 starting point for a total new guy? Thank you very much for any input you can give.

I would start with #1

Heej Rosh, just discovered your channel. Verry helpfull tips! I've a question. On preset one I have my acoustic preset for the most of the time and when I hold that button I have it boosted, for solo's, by using the "output" volume boost. When I record something with the looper with the normal volume and play it back and want to solo over it the recorded part gets boosted as well. How can I record with the looper and play it back on the normal volume and solo over it with a boosted signal? Thanks in advance!

I would use a filter block. If you search my channel I talk about using a filter block to boost solos. What you record into the looper block wont be volume boosted if you use this method as long as the looper is at the end of your signal chain

Rosh, thank you for the helpful tips! Quick question, whenever I start messing with FC functions for a particular preset, all of my FM3 presets change to those FC functions. What am i doing wrong?

If you're using a FAS foot controller like the FC6 or FC12 you need to use the "edit on" parameter and select which unit you're actually programming. I personally make a seperate layout for each controller I'm using so I don't get this behavior. For example. Layout 1 will *only* be the FM3 Layout 2 will *Only* be the FC6. I will probably make a video to go over this behavior at some point in the future

@@RoshRoslin Thank you for that info. I currently only use the FM3. I'm assuming I have to employ Per Preset footswitches? It just seems much more involved and cumbersome than the way you could drag and drop footswitch assignments on the AX8

Thank you for your help. I've watched a lot of videos and am still befuddled by the fact that everything appears on the FM3 edit screen. I'm still lost on how I can switch from presets to scenes on the unit itself with no computer connection. Very few of these videos actually show the FM3 floor unit itself in order to see how the FM3 edit screen settings are actually carried out on the floor. I'm probably just missing the boat on this ...I'll keep watching in hopes of actually seeing someone use it as it would be used in performance...No computer. Again appreciate your work.

Hey Rocky, yes you can do everything from the front panel if you'd like, but it can be tedious to press a bunch of buttons to switch between presets and scenes and why I recommend using a computer. But, it is worth learning how to dial in the unit on the actual screen so you can make edits on the fly at a gig etc.

How would you switch channels at the exact time you want to by using a hold function… unless perhaps you set it up to hold and change channels on the release of the hold maybe?

By default, the hold function initiates the function even if the button is held down. (You can change it on switch release if needed, but I find it cumbersome). So I sometimes even just leave my foot on the switch. Works well in presets where I have a scene tied to a hold function

Just recogn. you don´t cut to 8500 Hz on the FM3 like you usually do on the AxeFxIII?

how can you set the switches to change between different amps? Using a FC-6 with FM-3. Thanks!
@RoshRoslin

You can use scenes or set a switch to toggle between channels. Set each channel to be a different amp.

it turns out that the most obvious solution for someone who plays on stage is unattainable in a user-friendly way. I have fm 3 and fc6 and there is no way I can set songs and their titles on fm3 and on fc 6 sections of songs and their names that I gave them when creating the list. This completely surprised me - after all, it is the simplest and unattainable solution.If I'm wrong, please tell me how to do it step by step.

You can definitely do what you're asking. Just have the FM3 and FC6 use different layouts and they'll switch accordingly.
