One of the best sub-machine guns ever made. Up there with the Thompson, MP-40, Kriss Vector, MP5 and the Uzi. I know that the FN P90 is technically a PDW, but they're all designed for the same basic application. I'm glad that you had the chance to fire one of those little beasts!

the Thompson was revolutionary when first designed but was quickly obsolete

Not to be that guy (but I'm about to sorry lol), but it's a submachine gun. 5.7x28 is a pistol caliber, originally.

I'm gonna be that guy to your being that guy: It's a PDW, and 5.7x28mm was developed in conjunction with the P90, the Five-seveN being developed afterwards. That being said, FN itself describes the PS90 specifically as a semi-automatic rifle. :P It is uh... /not supposed/ to be doing what it does in this video, lol. But that kind of stuff happens from time to time, and if my SKS ever decided to turn itself into an automatic, I'd certainly film it for shits and giggles, as well.

@@ThraceVega It could be considered both. Not to throw away your point. but why would you have 50 rounds in a semi-auto PDW? Also, I'm a little certain that the full-auto 'SBR' P90 saw some military or Secret Service use, though my knowledge there is patchy, so don't take my word for it.

@@TheUndeadOfNight726-oy8us The P90 and PS90 are, legally, two separate firearms, even if the technical differences are minor. The PS90 is sold on the civilian market as semi-automatic only, with a long enough barrel to legally be considered a 'rifle'. An aftermarket short barrel can be purchased and mounted, though it must then be registered as an SBR. It is still not, however, legally a machinegun under the NFA, because it remains semi-auto. Unless something nonstandard happens, as I presume is the case in this video. Military, law enforcement, and government agencies have access to the P90 proper, since they're exempt from the NFA; civilians do not, hence the creation of the PS90.
