Great review…I agree with you on the trigger; I absolutely love mine, but I opted for a Giessele SSA 2 stage trigger which makes a huge difference. For the money; there is a bit more Mil-Spec on the rifle, but I bought mine for the barrel. FN is one of the best barrel makes in the business (IMO).

My local shop has this on sale for $1200 right now. $300 off. I already have 4 ARs. Do I need another? Before it’s too late

I have the DMR and it comes with a timney single stage trigger - it’s a light and crispy and makes it feel like a precision rifle imho. The upgrade in price is worth the extra money , with 2 more inches of barrel and a timney trigger. My opinion.

I built my 1st AR. I did a good job. It’s solid and I haven’t had any issues... but it’s a poverty pony PSA and I’m looking to upgrade to a Gucci system. I hate to use the line “just as good” but I’m really wondering if the FN-15 Tac3 on par with a Daniel Defense so I can save $400. 😂

Ammo quality will play a big part in a jam or misfire or just filth.

not really. It definitely matters but I wouldnt say "big part"... A good rifle will eat anything you feed it.

Probably as close as you can get to issue without full auto and 14 inch barrel.

Hey, does this rifle come with a staked castle nut?

You are paying for the name. It's nothing special. At $1700, it should come with a better trigger.

Yes, you're paying for fn reliability, durability, performance and for a rifle that will hold value for years to come.

@@trentf4891 that's alot of ARs. My FN still had several instances where you click after expecting a bang and failure to load the first round.

@@reelrocknrolla4251 What I'm saying is a stock rifle from a good manufacturer will be more valuable than an ar with the same quality parts assembled by a citizen. Buy a fn rifle for $1500 and if it's maintained you will always have the option to get most of your $$$ back. It's very difficult to sell a rifle you have built. If you're not worried about value then building is a fine option.

@@trentf4891 not saying it is bad, but would like to see more at that price. An LWRC or Daniel Defense comes with better features at around the same price range. I own an FN 15, btw

@@reelrocknrolla4251 Sounds like you have a faulty firearm if you're having malfunctions of that nature. I've never in years had a single malfunction with my FN.
