Nevertheless, even if Nurol Makina bought out BAE System's shares or the whole company was outright nationalized by the government, it doesn't change the fact that FNSS' chassis are often based on FMC chassis such as the AAV7 and M113 due to its founding as a JV and related tech transfer.

@cadennorris960

@@hellmarch3043 The only vehicle I can find is an 8x8 made by a Malaysia company in conjunction with Turkey however the Turkish military doesn’t operate any of them. What’s the name of these supposed vehicles? Keep in mind there is a difference between a normal amphibious vehicle and one that can do amphibious assault. The LAV25 is amphibious but cannot participate in an amphibious assault. Tracks are not “needed” for a beach landing regardless of the terrain. 8x8 vehicles have proven themselves well which is why many countries have switched to them over tracked vehicles even outside of amphibious vehicles (Self propelled guns, IFVs, etc). Just to be clear I’m not here to judge Turkey, I’m just curious why they chose tracks when most countries have moved away from tracks where they can. I’m well aware the Turkish military (aswell as any military for the most part) knows what is best for them to acquire. What is “best” is obviously subjective for each country.
