Outstanding. I've had to remove a foam filled tire myself and it was a long difficult process.

Thanks!!! I was hoping the foam didn't stick to the wheels and yours didn't so I'm off to do my task.

Well, I came back to say that mine was nowhere as easy as yours. My tires were a bit bigger (on a trencher) 23x8.5-12 and the foam was far more sticky. I had to cut a 4" section of foam to expose the steel cable find the steel cable around the bead area and cut it on both sides. Then I had to cut out 10" sections and fight/pry them out. The foam rubber was bonded to the rim both on the inside as well as around the bead. Then I used a grinding wheel to clean up the bead. It was a three hour wrestling match but I won.

I couldn't find a local place to get foam, so I just went with green slime filled.

Thanks for the video. Did the tyres that you cut through have steel in there structure? I have a kramer loader with 10.5/80/18 inch foam filled, worn out tyres. I suspect it may have steel bands in the structure of the tyre (I am not a tyre expert so could be talking rubbish!). What you did in the video looked relatively painless. Not sure how well it would work with the bigger wheels on my loader?

m_l_hill2002 I would assume they do, mine did but they are not very big. I'm sure you can do it, just be safe.

Thanks for the reply HandyGuy. I will give it a go--it will be in a while as I have to get the tyres yet and at the moment I am skint. Cheers, Mike

@@alexmontante8878 Thanks, I have some time off work and was planning to do my kramer loader tyres. What snag did you hit with your Bobcat?
@m_l_hill

@@alexmontante8878 Failed on my loader too, I guess the technique doesnt scale. took the wheels off and and drilled two 12mm holes, diametrically opposite each other into each side of the tyre. Then, starting from one of the holes, cutting around about an inch in from the rim with a jigsaw on both sides. Then cutting from each hole all the way up to the middle of the tread, joining the cut from the other side. The tread was easily lifted off then I used a wood saw to cut through the inner tube as much as I could and finished off hacking out the rest with a flat blade screw driver. It took a couple of hours per tyre.
