Logic Pro X really has so many different features that can end up discovering things you'd never imagine - like this Folders feature. I've been using the folders feature after seeing a template tutorial incorporating it to keep the overall template tidy n clean. I had created folders for MIDI data; and BOUNCED audio regions/takes. In case, I needed to retrace my steps back and had to do a section/part all over again. My understanding of it was more for organizational purposes. I would then turn the channel OFF then HIDE it from the main screen until it was needed. Your video surprised me that it could actually PLAY the project like normal inside of the folder. Didn't know that was an option. Unsure how I would incorporate that, given I already use Alternative Project and Alternative Tracks. But I did learn something new from this. Anyways, thanks for sharing and diving deeper into some of LPX's arcane features.

When C-lab Notator mutated to Notator Logic/Emagic Logic in the 90s (93?) the folders, with the MIDI Environment, was the great new thing. I remember the 1st time I opened Logic after the update. I see the track stack as a kind of evolution of this idea of folders.

Thanks for this tip! I make stock music and create several edits per track like Stingers, Bumpers, Loops etc... I have been using Project Alternatives, it works but it is a bit tedious to switch around. With folders, it looks like, i can put each edit in a folder, name each folder accordingly and keep it all in one window, more convienient!

Thanks a lot. Maybe in the start highlighting Why you should use it.
