After listening to this song a lot I feel like he is really singing the lyrics to himself, rather then it being like him trying to lecture the listener. The tone makes it seem like he is repeating something he knows but can’t make stick every moment and it is a bit cynical at the end like he’s mocking the sincerity of his own words a little bit. Also the guitars and drumming behind the lyrics give off a sense of trying to drum something in. The backing vocals and overall noise, which is like the rest of his mind speaking almost, he has to sing louder towards the end so that he can be heard over the rest of his thoughts. Idk sounds like gibberish but It makes sense to me. Love the band and the song.
