It's loud, it's crowded, it's hot, and it smells delicious!
Today I'm shopping at Hua Sa Nhambin Sa Hapat Market in Sri Racha, Thailand, just north of Pattaya, Thailand. I shop at these markets often, but this is the first time I have calculated how much I was spending. I was amazed to see how crazy cheap everything was. I only paid a little attention to the actual cost before making this video. Whether you're a healthy eater or crave the greasy fried stuff, there is something here for everybody.
I love the local markets of South East Asia. The people are friendly, and the food is abundant. Nowhere else during my world travels have I encountered such a variety of exotic foods. While Vietnam markets seem to have more variety of fruit, the Thai markets make up for it with authentic Isaan food! Which, in my opinion, is the best Thai food, especially if you like super HOT spicey food
If you're planning on living in or vacationing in Thailand on a low budget, I recommend doing most, if not all, of your food shopping at a local Thai market. If you are a person that doesn't cook, the market has a variety of delicious ready-to-eat meals. There are plenty of healthy options; I personally avoid fried food and sugar.
When delicious food is cheap, it tastes oh so good!
