To Harvest the Largest Garlic you must plant it in the Fall! We planted ours this year December 5, 2023, the latest we've ever planted. We can't wait to see them popping up in the spring!
Garlic has to be one of the most important foods you can easily grow for all its nutritional and medicinal benefits. So much so that I recommend it for all gardeners, especially those who want to live on what they grow! Rosemary Gladstar says if she had only one herb she could plant for culinary and medicinal use, it would be garlic!

If you're looking to get into microscopy to analyze your soil life, consider this one that I bought which was recommended to me by Matt Powers. You get to see the beneficial bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and nematodes, as well as all the bad guys so you can make adjustments to your compost to correct them. There's lots of support online to help you interpret what you're seeing. This really is a great price for the quality of the microscope you're getting: amzn.to/3EmjVDj
