She had such a gentle soul she didn't deserve to leave the world so quickly

I feel like we don't appreciate mara enough as a fandom and she had such a beautiful soul she didn't deserve to die

I feel guilty for how I saw Mara at first. I can not believe I bought into the First Ones' propaganda.

"I remember... in the old tongues. Mara means death." -a former Queen of the Awoken, from Destiny 2 Isn't it sad? How Mara was no different from Adora? She was a disillusioned freedom fighter who didn't quite understand what her power meant, but ultimately understood what she had to do with it. In fact, I think the only true difference in their stories is that Mara didn't have her own Catra. Without Catra, Adora would have died, and with her, Glimmer, Bow, all the others. Much like how Greyskull Squadron died. Isn't it sad, really, that the only reason Mara was a martyr was because she didn't have her own love? Isn't it sad that she had all this love for others, but couldn't take love from others? Isn't it sad that Mara and Adora are separated only by time? Isn't it sad that only Raz saw the truth? *Isn't it sad that Mara and Adora are the same soul?* And isn't it a sad sort of kindness that Catra only ever met one of them? And isn't it a cosmic sort of kindness that Mara did return to bake that pie, only in another body? And isn't it the most bittersweet thing, that Mara, in sacrificing herself so Adora wouldn't have to, not only saved Adora and all of Etheria, but saved her own soul? That she committed the greatest act of love in the world, not just for all of Etheria, but for herself? Isn't it sad? Or is it the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?

Now that you mentioned this... I have this theory that Corrupted Catra happened because that was Razz's attempt at preventing her from dying, but ended badly.

The story is mostly about Mara and the first ones being human and making mistakes and being fearful they were not gods or conquerers they were people

Bro, that “we were going to make the pie. I’ve been waiting for so long” 💔💔💔💔 and when she makes it as her grieving choice to finish the pie alone “for you, Mara deary” killed me
