another good point to make... this blade is practical and isn't fantasy? it's actually INCREDIBLY efficient at what it does (creating a nearly impossible to seal/clot wound) hence why they're illegal in a lot of places...and if they're illegal... not fantisy?

I knew and old guy who could do that whole guard in like 2-3hrs max. He was insane with a jewelers saw.. he made intricate brass fixtures and furniture for museum quality doll houses.. his family makes recreations of famous landmark buildings and whatnot and he’s been doing that since he was a young boy in the UK.. I have no patience or skill for that and I’d be at it for weeks! I tried something much simpler once and my cuts were caddywhompus, crooked and 32 flavors of messed up. I still have the saw that the old man gifted me but I’ve never used it again. This made me think i should give it another go!

2 things. 1: you obviously put effort into that guard, it looks great. 2: I know its a showpiece, but its really way better to have a tang. Even if it's theaded then welded on, it feels way better to have it immobile. Idk if you sell this stuff, but if you do you will get more from an imoblie rectangular tanged blade. That thing looks scary, but would probably only go about an inch deep before the massively increased friction over normal blades stopped it penetrating any deeper. It would also be virtually impossible to sharpen the edges, and you either have to keep it in a bag, or have a weird spiral scabbard that prevents quick drawing, rendering it useless on a battlefield where a dagger is henerally a weapon you pull quickly to finish someone off, and inconvenient in other situations as it's hard to carry and/or too slow for self defence.
