I have a 2011 Superduty with 6.2. Love the truck and I tow 14k from Cleveland to Palm beach Florida. Handles mountains in WV VA NC no problem . It loves to hunker down at 4,500 rpm up steep grade and just sit there at about 65-70. Gas mileage is about 17 highway empty (no trailer) or 6.5 hauling heavy in mountains, and at 230,000 miles it still runs like new, uses 1 quart in 5,000 miles between oil changes. LOVE THIS TRUCK!

Since purchase @45k this F250 gasser had valve knocking or such above 4200rpm Long hills towing It didnt matter towing or not . Seemed noise came behind glove box. Now @ 160k... Quite a bother, I pull an RV trailer almost constantly with this truck. I put 1 SeaFoam can in the fuel when the fuel indicated at a 1/4 full. This TOALLY FIXED IT.. No lie! GONE! Thought I would share this truth. REPAIRS:.. O2 sensor, Blower speed switch quit, Later@ 140k Blower fan replaced, Now AC Evaporator leak and soon to be replaced. LOVE THE TRUCK

I just bought a gas F350 XL. The XL is the value way to go if you want to add your own stuff to the truck later. The only thing my truck didn't have that I wanted right away was cruise control, and so I added that. The XL can do everything the higher trims can do, except automatically move your seat or warm your butt, and a few other luxury things, none of which I think is important in a travel/work truck. You can also custom order an XL with any of the utility based accessories as you please.
