Just starting the process with Ford. Took my 2020 Escape Hybrid to my dealer service dept 12.31.2021 for "Customer Satisfaction Program 21B68", basically the only service on my repair order was for this recall. After the tech installed the upgrade software, my car would not come out of Park and has been in the service bay due to being undriveable ever since. Dealer has brought in technical support but to no avail. I just got a case # from Ford and they just sent me buyback paperwork but I would really rather have my sweet little Escape hybrid back on my driveway in good working order. Supposedly tech support is coming next week to reinstall factory software to see if my car will come out of Park. thank you for your buyback saga, it's given me some ideas on how to proceed.

My car's engine baby had caught on fire after the dealership put a new battery in. Would the lemon law apply to this? I was able to extinguish the fire so the engine bay was not completely destroyed and it starts and runs. Still under warranty. Currently at the dealership right now being inspected. I don't feel safe, and I dont believe the car is reliable anymore. If you have any input on whether this would apply to the lemon law then please let me know!

Michelle Cruz Ford sent me all the things needed to do the buyback through my email. Took about 25 days (moves very quick in California) they buy your car back after they subtract usage (miles, late fees with payments, any damage/dents, and whatever else they can find) you should get all your monthly payments back, down payment, minus the usage. I’d check with an attorney with free no obligation advice. I went straight through Ford and lemon law attorney couldn’t help me because ford already deemed my car a lemon. No point to fight it in court. I’d check with your state requirements and stay on top of it. Don’t wait for Nissan. You initiate everything and try to move quickly. It can be stressful lol

I took it in 1st time for issues at 29000miles so im getting my loan paid off and on my payments I made minus $1,050 for a B.S mileage shit. So im getting around 5900 of my payment back. Any experience with EXTENDED WARRANTY transfer / credit on LEMON BUYBACK? Lexus is offering buyback for my LS460 F-sport with corrosion problem which was discovered on the day of purchase and it took close to 3 years (12 dealer visits) to see their buyback response. It took me long long time and sleepless nights to get to this point. The dealership that sold me the car gave me 3 year extended warranty as an apology (and yet declined to take the car back) and now the car is NOT SAFE to drive, Lexus accepted to buy back. And I thank Lexus for taking responsibility. My problem is with the extended warranty that has NEVER been used and service is not even to start until September 2020. Lexus DECLINED to give credit nor transfer to another Lexus when I purchase and I am wondering if anyone had an experience like this. Their claim is that I did not pay for it and the dealership didn't pay for it either. So who paid? Lexus corporate arranged it with the dealership to provide at no cost to the dealership. Would it be fair that I get credit so that I can purchase another extended warranty on next Lexus or at least the corporate allows the transfer to my next Lexus? Can anyone share your thoughts?

I have a 3.5l eco boost f150 4x4. I opened a case with Ford because it's been in the shop for a total 17 days over about 6 service visits. The last service visit they gave me Ford buy back number and told me they couldn't fix the problems so they just kept resetting the computers hoping that would work and it obviously never did. Everytime it would through codes and dash lights I brought it to them and they found error codes etc but after they reset the computers they couldn't"duplicate" the problems so they just pushed me to call Ford for the buy back due to these spontaneous intermittent problems they cant fix or say exactly what is causing the issues. So I called and opens a case today truck has only 9k miles on it and less then 12mo owned. Soo my question to you is I personally want the exact same truck, I was listening to your 3rd option as basically trading it in for another. Can you be more specific on that route, ie do they just trade you out for equal to what you paid and give you another equivalent without running credit and basically like buying a new vehicle all over again??

So I then asked exactly what was the reason for denial based on my States lemon laws, he didn't want to answer that and then eventually told me he didn't know exactly why because he didn't actually review and deny my claim, there was a separate claims Dept that makes that decision. So I was obviously upset and told him that I already consulted a lawyer, which I did, and they advised me to not waste my timethrough Ford and they deny most claims.. my response was well ok I guess I will let my lawyer handle this and you guys can pay attorney fees as well, I gave you guys a chance to do the right thing and you guys are lying to me. Quickly after I said that he offered my a 75k mile warranty extended coverage, and that's the best warranty that they offer cover over 1500 parts etc. I asked him to email me this stuff and I'll review the warranty offer and get back to him. That's the situation right now. What do you think?? I really don't want to go through this process of buy back etc but under the circumstances of them not being able to fix the issues I have no choice. @@ThatCarGuyEddie I have a 2022 Toyota Corolla that I bought new. I've had problems since day 1. Driving it home I noticed the car pulling and then noticed the drivers door wouldn't shut correctly and the body panels and trunk lid were very misaligned with large gaps. Took it back the next day, the service tech drove it and said it was fine. I demanded a copy of the alignment diagnostics and of course, it failed the alignment inspection. So, they attempted an alignment but still couldn't get it within specs....4 alignments so far. They finally told me its not always possible to align cars within specs...Being a woman, they think I'm stupid. They also had a body shop come try to fix the misaligned and gapped body panels but it still looks terrible. They wanted me to bring it back for a second attempt by the body shop but when I mentioned it being a lemon and asked about a buy back, the GM stopped communicating with me. Thats when I decided to take it to another Toyota dealership in my area. I highly suspect the car was warped or twisted during transport which is why the gapped body panels, suspension and alignment issues can't been fixed. The car sways all over the road while driving, its so bad I can't even use my built in lane assist. I've have documentation for all "repair" attempts and email communications. I'm dropping it back off Tuesday but its been 6 months so I don't think anything will be done. I dont know what to do at this point. Should I continue to wait or contact corporate? When I mention lemon law or buy backs I just get shut down and I can't find any way to request a buy back on the Toyota website.
