I talk about this major design flaw in the Ford Fiesta (2009 onward). There's a gaping hole right by the handbrake and once you drop something down there you may never see it again! I've lost coins, house keys and the car keys themselves, even though they were in my right pocket at the time. Whatever you drop falls towards this hole, it seems to have a gravitational pull and everything ends up heading for it.
You can see the reply I had from Ford about this problem in this video • Ford Fiesta flaw - For...
If you have a keyless entry system such as mine then you only have to have the key fob in the car and one push of the button will start it. The problem is that if you drop that fob down this hole then anyone can walk up to your car, unlock it by pressing the button on the door handle and drive off in it! Even if you lock the car using the spare key it can still be opened and driven because the car senses that the other key fob is present in the vehicle.
I consider this to be a major problem and a huge source of frustration. The only answer is an extendible magnet which can be put down the hole to recover items - if they're magnet. You can see some of them here www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fro...
And yes, I do vacuum my car most days but the fact you can see bits of dust just shows how good the new cameras are.
