Love the videos where it shows everything that my cat can figure out, but how to remove the axle from transmission, because they all are stuck in there, nothing.

Nice one, you made that task look pretty easy to do. I’ve got to replace the inner cv boot on that same part for a 2009 hatchback version. Not sure whether to replace just the boot or the whole shaft. Thanks for the great video.

I remember when first learning on cars i didn't have a complete spanner set and couldn't remove lower ball joint (wasn't a Focus, maybe an old Fiat or Vauxhall). In the end i unbolted the wishbone from the frame and did it that way instead.

Hey mate, awesome video! The old Focuses can be great little cars (even though there not little 😅), case & point, my parents still have their 2010 2L TDCI 6-speed manual hatchback that they bought new, but it is still running all the original parts! Only general, routine maintenance it's whole life, oh, and it's done over 265000kms, so yeah, great car

i had my rh shaft give me vibrations and have a replacement, I'm much more confident in doing it now. Just a question, My left shaft is nicely inline when steering is straight but the right seems have the wheel more in front of the shaft, like the engine is sitting back. is that normal for these? I have done all the engine mounts not too long ago.

Hello, mate I have a ford focus mk2 1.8 tdci and I feel a wobble under 'mild heavy' acceleration especially in second gear. The wobble is felt through the gas pedal and it feels like it comes from the right side of the car, I checked control arms bushings/ replaced the right driveshaft but to no avail.. what do you think it could be? some said it could be the driveshaft bearing, where is that located nd can it result in a wobble? the wobble feels like imbalanced tires but I balanced them two times already.. any help would be appreciated, the engine pulls strong but that wobble kinda ruins the driving experience..
@downtheshedwithbyron

Yeah that bearing if its failed can do that But you should of seen that when you checked out the control arm bush Id just double check that dude

@@downtheshedwithbyron so the issue you think is purely 'mechanical/suspension'? what about injectors? can a bad or worn out one cause the engine to shake under acceleration nd 'it seems' as if it's a wobble coming from the front of the car? thanks for you reply.
