Had no idea the Ford Mondeo was such a nice car. I really like it & its so spacious.

Indeed. Even after all these years, the Mk3 has a lot to commend it.

Still got my Mk 3 2004 Mondeo 2 litre petrol Ghia I bought new. Fantastic car still looks like new inside and out. Been very reliable. Ford really got it right with these cars in my opinion. Never wanted to change it for the later ones.

I had the 2 litre Zetec S and apart from eating front tyres it was the most amazing family car I've ever owned.

Ahh this car takes me back a few years. Still looks like a very good car to have. Wish I had those drink holders, I keep spilling my hot chocolate when taking corners🤗

The cup holder alone is enough reason to buy a Mondeo!

I had a Mondeo a few years back and it did me a solid turn - didn't have the pop-out cup holder though! Something I am now retrospectively jealous about 🙂Think mine was a Ghia X so different trim level. Great cars though!

No pop out cup holder? That's shocking! Hopefully, you'll get one in your subsequent cars.

Great review of a really fantastic car. I still run my Mk3 55 plate 1.8 petrol Zetec, with 98k miles. Still drives like a brand new car. Average 39 mpg. And no rattles! No rust. The only weak points are coil springs which can fracture and rear wheel bearings get worn. Keep an eye on fuel pipes. And swirl flaps on older 01 to 04 pre facelift models are prone to disintegrating - listen for rattling from engine on idling and replace (or remove). Cheers.

Good info, Vivian. Thanks. The Mk3 in the video defies its mileage, too. Best wishes from CarSpyTV.

Great review! Thanks Stephen for the walk about and test drive. The car is packed with features for convenient daily use. Not least the cup holder (thanks for second close up - made my day). Did I also spot that the wingmirrors can be moved electronically from the driver's side? Does the heating windscreen function also heat the wingmirrors? Can't quite believe it's 18 years olds! It looks newer.

Yes thanks 👍 I've always liked the Mondeo. We nearly bought one (an estate) back in 2007 but we opted for a focus estate and it's also a great car. So we have had our focus for 15 years and it's done 180,000 miles. I've subscribed to your channel!

I really like these cars. I went in a few when they were new. I got to drive one around the block, that was the ST220. I wish I could of driven it over a few mph. I loved the sound thou. Is this one of your cars?

How fortunate to get your hands on a ST220. That’s a future classic, in my opinion. The Mk3 in the video isn’t my personal car. However, I’ve known it since 2009 and drive it occasionally. I hope you and the family are well. S.

Can't knock the finish or results but messing about was mains water in winter isn't for me. For many years now I've used Waterless Wash 'n' Wax as it has many advantages and gives a good finish. I wait until there's an offer of 10 litres for £20 and no P&P and that lasts for a very long time. The 'brand' on the label may change but it makes no odds as it's made by the same chemical firm. Not truly waterless though as you wash ( without using fabric softener) the micofibre cloths. I do use and recommend some Autoglym products and have spent quite a lot on them over the decades.
