Congrats! Undoubtedly one of the most awesome accommodations I have seen in a small space. I see many but they are either too cluttered and messy or too sterile/cold looking. Really really nice.

Wood paneling adds unessesary weight...which lowers gas mileage. Not worth it, imo. There are better ways to make a camper's interior look inviting.

Strangely enough even though the transit is a right hand drive British commercial staple, here in Australia we ONLY GET the big transit vans. But honestly I wouldn't fit in one of these although I do like the idea of having a newer vehicle. I almost ended up with a Kia Sedona, but instead got a 2002 hyundai trajet van. A not so common van a bit smaller than a chrysler voyager. With a well proven 2.7 litre engine used in many hyundais. Mine had 101 thousand miles on it when I got it. I'm 6'2" and fit in the back without too much extra length. I went full custom inner spring mattress and its nearly 9 inches thick. Better than my bed at home.

Great build. I'm 6'3 and if I could work it to be able to lay down stretched out, I would prefer this van. If I could, I would do my bed behind the driver seat and put the sink and things on the other side with a passenger swivel seat, so when I'm relaxing, that would be my chair, have a table on a swivel that could either be at the head of my bed, or in front of my swivel seat. Definitely get some solar for the fridge and charging things. Also a camera system that would give me a view all around the van with no windows in the back. I absolutely love your build. Will look up measurements to see how much space behind the drivers seat to the back to see if I can fit. If not I would just look for a regular work van. Love the stealth.

Very nice. I’ve been thinking of a connect but the ones I’ve seen on the street look as though the back is only about 5 feet! I read somewhere that the first 3 years they were longer and taller and Ford, for some reason brought the size down even further. You have to have a window not just for ventilation which is really important, but for light which is just as important for health. Plus your body puts out moisture when sleeping so you could wind up with mold which apparently is an issue with lots of van builds. Anyway- good going on the build. Looks comfy and workable.

I had to put a ceiling fan in my Transit Connect. It got way too hot in there otherwise. I also put rain guards over the front windows so I could open them a little bit to allow more air flow without fear of rain getting everywhere inside the front. I'm not sure if the rain guards would help you though since you look like you completely sealed the back from the front. I put curtains in mine that allowed airflow below and at the sides, while still maintaining the blackout effect.

Good for a single person. You could 1. Have small opening (folding inside) on the partition behind driver seat. 2. A window on any one side of van for ventilation/light. 3. A expandable fold to your pull bed at the feet to make your bed more comfortable to sleep. Rest all fine. Best of luck....😊

Was your floor level? I just did my '98 Windstar with a kitchen and lights. After removing the seats and old carpeting the floor was 3 - 1/2 inches higher in back than behind the driver's seat! I had to cut some long triangular shims to get a flat counter above the stock cabinets. I just sleep on the hardwood floor with a memory foam mattress under my sleeping bag. And I got the bracket to turn my passenger seat around backwards. Nice wood work with the drawers.
